Apr 13, 2015 People my age probably gonna give you a lot of s--- but that's still a respectable list imo
Apr 13, 2015 Kendrick Drake Kanye Action Bronson Earl Danny Brown J. Cole Yelawolf Schoolboy Q Tyler, The Creator
Apr 13, 2015 And are you gonna act like you've actually given anyone from "today" a chance? I don't mind you having the opinion you have as long as it's not under the guise of actually being well versed on the topic edit: and i'm sure you know that the "2015 iteration" of pac = been dead for like 2 decades right?
Apr 13, 2015 Didnt admit they fell off. Listened to some Billy Woods a few minutes ago and I was hoping he would s---, but I gotta say, he's not bad But he's not coming into my top10 list. Not even in my top30. I like other rappers. The real raw rappers. And Drake, Young Thug and all those rappers are not that.
Apr 13, 2015 can I ask who specifically? Im not trying to be a d-ck or anything btw, Im just pokin' fun at thinking there havent been ANY rappers worth your time in the last 15 or so years. You cant get into Freddie Gibbs? billy woods? Elucid? Boosie? Kendrick? Jay Rock? there are countless rappers that fit into the mold that your top 10 paints
Apr 13, 2015 If I prefer a guy's ashes over your generation's rappers, what does that tell you about today's quality?
Apr 13, 2015 I can't stand Kendrick's voice, but I enjoyed a few of the songs off the new album. I really like Gibbs but never heard a front to back awesome project from him. I listened to Drake's 1st, 2nd, and some of 4th album. Horrible.
Apr 13, 2015 Drake wasn't on my list lol. Kendrick doesn't always use one consistent voice, and TPAB includes some of his more obscure iterations so I'd check out GKMC. Unless you already have. Or if not, then try these 2 songs: Are you telling me you heard Pinata by Gibbs and didnt think it was great? and is that I no for the rest of the rappers? Because you should check out dour candy by billy woods (produced by aesop rock collaborator, blockhead)
Apr 13, 2015 yes, that's a no for the others. GKMC is horrible, imo. It literally puts me to sleep. I feel like I've heard these songs by Kendrick, but I will once again try. Honestly, I really really want to like hip hop again. Trust me. I failed to mention the only rappers of today that have brought me any kind of enjoyment at all = Wiz Kalifa and Big Sean.
