Apr 14, 2015 Though I'm gonna admit right now I was a pretty big fan back when RAW dropped (as were many people on SL, what a horrible phase lolololol). He's talented at rapping and has a good voice, but he makes the same beat over and over again and I think the content speaks for itself. Dude squandered his potential more than any other rapper I can think of. He's a great example of how technical ability means nothing without being a good writer/producer.

Apr 15, 2015 the… the only thing hopsin needs to be a better artist is to get a producer as said, he sounds the same on every track because his production has that same exact sound to it whenever he is featured on a song its always much better because you get to hear him on a real beat not made by himself

I can recognize that the fool has bars, technical ability but...his voice and s--- AGH! lmfao I think I might be a hater, but f--- it. I also hate this fools's 'holier than thou' thought process. Hopsin 5 is so g.d. full of self righteous 'I'm better than you because I don't smoke weed or play video games' bs. Talkin bout he don't need a gimmick yet the whole 'weirdo, strange loner, no one on my level and I wear contacts' shtick he's been using since the beginning is tired. Edit - I will say that Ill Mind of Hopsin 6 is dope but only because of how close to home it hits for me and it is a real emotional topic for me. Got a best friend/homie stuck doing drugs and is in & out of prison. That said, I still won't DL it, lmfao.

Apr 15, 2015 Hopsin has a handful of songs that I really like and then it all drops off from there. I don't necessarily think he's better, but Smokeout Conversations by Dizzy Wright is my favorite Funk Volume project to date. Hopsin doesn't do much for me anymore. Idk why, maybe because he only appeals to high school kids. People went crazy about Ill Mind 5 when that dropped.
