Well, it can get tiring but I love technical rapping in general so this style appeals to me. I wouldn't show anyone Shady XV and be like "hey check out this great music" because its not very musical. I enjoy Em's current style similar to how I enjoy battle rap, if that makes sense.furiouslamb3, YiT, FlawlessT and 4 others like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

Nope. I hate it 95% of the time but on some songs it works for me. Unpopular opinion on here but I thought best friend was 80 times better than most stuff he's done with that flow.furiouslamb3, Oldboy, FlawlessT and 4 others like this. -

As far as more recent material. I'd like to see more songs akin to "Fine Line", one of the few respectable songs on Shady XV. They flow/delivery is more laid back and he's not over exerting himself to flex his rhyme skills every line. More often than not recently it seems he's forcing so much to show off his skills, compromising just sounding musically appealing. I think "Fine Line" had a good balance. It's a bit choppy, but it worked because of content and delivery.
His "rap just to rap" is getting tired. I honestly think it worked on "Right for Me" and "Rap God", but I don't want or need to hear that every other song. We get it Marshall you can rap, it's impressive and no denying his ability, but I'd like to see him tone it down and get back to a more level delivery i.e. "The Warning". I think signing Slaughterhouse is partly to blame for him getting so technical since they all pride themselves as lyricists.
Really hoping "WWC3/Speedom" will be the end of the speed, fit every rhyme possible rap for him, that's the point of the song so I get it. I've wanted him to do a Tech N9ne feature for so long, just hope it's not 14 years too late. Would have rather seen him on "Psycho b---- III" just because I don't care for the speed/show off your skills that is inevitable with "Speedom". Hoping for the best, Tech N9ne deserves the feature.
Haha sorry for the novella, tldr myself.Last edited: Apr 15, 2015rapmusik, get_em_boy, FlawlessT and 3 others like this. -

I don't like him for the flow tbh. some of the songs, I just find appealing to the ear. I don't care how technical he gets. If a song sounds good to me, I'll listen to it. I won't blind myself just because others disagree. -

Say My Name and The Warning flows are f---in sick. If he use that flow in next album it's easily gonna be a timeless classic no matter the content or anything.furiouslamb3, get_em_boy, dester23 and 2 others like this. -

ive slowly gained a distaste for his current flow because it's become more and more awful sonically. it was nice at first and I appreciated the change but it's just gotten really bad latelyYiT, FlawlessT, Juney Dark and 2 others like this. -

i can understand you guys like his super show off flow
it helps "prove" he's the "best" , he shows us he mastered the rapping part of rap music
he raps "technically" like no ones business
i liked it too when he first started rapping like this .. i thought it was crazy and skillful and cool to hear
but aren't you guys tired of it?
your really comfortable with him rapping like this on every single track?(This ad goes away when signing up) -

I like the flow, I have no issues with it. The people here that just want everyone to be the same all the d--- time is odd to me to be honest. As I have said before in here, it seems like some of you like rapping to/with him and now that you Can't Keep Up, you don't like it....
I did like the flow on 'Say My Name' but enjoy something new as well. I think the lyrics are important and how they are delivered as well.furiouslamb3, Section80, ESKETIT and 1 other person like this. -

He tries to improve technically but at the end of the day who the f--k cares about it, people like good music, no 10000 rhymes with no sense + yelling non sense lines, it ain't gonna make the song sound better, but whatever, he'll keep doing that shyt...n9ne, Ordinary Joel and FlawlessT like this. -
