@Skippy you're not wrong, but realize too that most of the world doesn't have the same lust for guns as the USA. Gun control works in countries where the Pandora's box of unregulated gun sales hasn't been going on for 100+ years

in the USA its too late to fix your gun problem, everyone is armed to the teeth and that's something you can't undo. gun control is unnecessary in the USA and a good idea to strive towards for everywhere else

people that are going to commit heinous crimes are going to do it whether they have a gun or not

id rather know there are good people out there with guns too and that the bad people aren't the only ones

plus , one of the biggest reasons that people don't think about ..

if we ever go to war on our own soil, every citizen that owns a gun is one extra solider to defend our home

Yeah I get that, just feels like by making the possession of guns legal you guys are enabling an easier way for crime to be committed.

Guess it's hard to really understand unless I'm right there in America.

I'd argue that the easy access and ability to get a gun is what's hurting the U.S.

Don't know about you but from the outside looking in, it seems as though if you guys banned guns, then the massacres/shootings that have happened over the years could've and maybe would've been avoided? Criminals (organised crime) will always have access to guns, but they don't really pose a threat unless you deal with their world. If you give access to guns to everybody, and with relative ease as well, then people who have some sort of mental or personality disorder can get their hands on guns and go bezerk.

I dunno, I may sound ignorant but in Aus you hardly ever hear of shootings unless it involves bikies or whatnot but half the time it's just them gunning down enemies and not everyday people.

Sorry if my post is a bit of a clusterfuck, just trying to peel off some thoughts.
