Surprisingly, Sorry 4 the Wait 2 has the most replay value to me. Others that I've liked a lot include Kendrick, Lupe, Big Sean, Luda, Yelawolf. Some I didn't care for after the first listen were Earl Sweatshirt and Drake.

I think that's all I've downloaded so far this year.

Yeah I love it. My parents were MASSIVE disco fans, and I really grew up with the genre embedded in my brain. So the album is fresh as h--- to me.

The Ghostface album sounded great on the first listen - okay on the second listen - redundant every time I've tried to listen since.

I had similar experiences with Ghost's last album. I'm always anticipating his new projects but the replay value isnt there most of the time

This is exactly how I feel—production is great, but other than one or two tracks Ghost sounds pretty auto-pilot. Not something I go back to often.

    Kendrick Lamar - To p---- A Butterfly
    Young Thug - Barter 6
    TUT - Preacher's Son
    Earl Sweatshirt - I Don't Like s---, I Don't Go Outside
    Action Bronson - Mr. Wonderful
Drake - If You're Reading This, It's Too Late
    Joey Bada$$ - B4DA$$
    Rae Sremmurd - SremmLife
Lil Wayne - Sorry 4 Tha Wait 2

Not gonna lie, I enjoyed Big Sean's album a lot too.

Glad to find someone else who heard Preacher's Son. @Blaza and I made a topic for it, but no one bit.

Blaza and I also interviewed TUT for the blog awhile back:

Listen to it ASAP. I prolly overrated it numerically when I reviewed it (it was like the second or third review I ever wrote lol), but it's a great tape that shows massive potential. Chatanooga rap is VERY different than what's going on in Atlanta for how close they are, but I like what they have budding with him and Isaiah just the same.

I'm going to Bonnaroo this year and I'm pretty disappointed at the lack of Tenessee rap. Was hoping for some local rap since they usually have some local rock. I think there's still some acts to be announced though.

If we're talking hip hop, probably Tetsuo & Youth by Lupe Fiasco. If we're talking any genre, then it's No Cities To Love by Sleater-Kinney and it's not even close.

Obviously we're talking hip hop duh, but No Cities To Love was decent, I can name maybe 10 albums that I liked more though

When it comes to hip hop, I haven't listened to many albums. TPAB is solid enough. I haven't gotten around to Love Story yet and I'm one of the few people who actually likes Yelawolf so that should be an interesting listen. I haven't been in a hip hop mood the past year though.

I like the new Modest Mouse record, even if it is a bit inconsistent. I've listened to Chronicle by Lights & Motion quite a few times since it was released when I'm in the mood for some post rock. I listen to Beat the Champ by The Mountain Goats quite a bit. And even though it was released late last year, I finally got around to listening to LP3 by Restorations.

You should check out the new Godspeed if you like post rokc / ambient, starts kinda weak but picks up fast, very strong album imo
