Who determines who makes the better argument?

    I don't know. I haven't read any reviews for Barter 6.

My point is, you can have a bunch of people who are viewed as good music critics and they very easily could have different views on whether Barter 6 is one of the best albums of the year.

So I don't really see how you're getting anywhere in determining whether it's good or not.

I never thought I'd like this album as much as I do, but I'm so glad I gave it a chance and bought it. Can't wait for HiTunes.

How can you make that last statement without any proof? Lol..just based on the split public reception?

I think the critics will unanimously be more positive about Barter 6 then the people on a forum like this. It'll get like a 8/10 from most places

I didn't like the 1017 thug that had stuffed and picacho (those were the only songs I liked off it) should I go back since that was my intro to thug? Or is it not worth it

It's worth and I'd go back. If it was my first project I woulda kinda turned off as well. But luckily I got into thug through random YouTube videos, stumbled upon classics like 2 cups stuffed, Danny glover, b language, etc on my own. Then young thugs mane la flare (which isn't that great) then rich g--- pt 1 (which is incredible). Then 1017 2 and 3..then finally got 1 lol

It's on you to determine which one makes the more valid argument.

Do you just never have an opinion on something because a critic might disagree?

I just used Barter 6 as an example. If you guys believe it's one of the best albums of the year so far, I'm perfectly fine with that. It's not that serious to me. The reason its not is because music is clearly more subjective than objective. When you're trying to determine "best albums" its very difficult to make an argument. Music is NOT like a sporting competition in which its a whole helluva lot easier to determine who the better/best team/player is.

Nah, I do have opinions on what I think is good and not good. But when you're talking music, it's a LOT harder to make an argument. I actually like to debate and try to make a good argument on certain topics, but music isn't one of them.

Definitely agree that music is subjective, but there's still objective factors you can use as a judging point.

For instance, in 2013 Owl Pharaoh came out, and is my favorite project of the year. From an objective standpoint, the lyrics are iffy at best and the production is muddy at times. Critically I'd give it like a 6/10. But I enjoy it and the sound so much that itkquite possobky my favorite record of all time.

"Who determines who makes the better argument?" is the type of s--- Christians say while insisting they should "teach both sides" in science class.
