Apr 19, 2015It's all aesthetics. Macs are fashion statements at this point. Like Beats headphones.
Performance wise you can get something better running Windows for way cheaper.
I personally feel more capable on Windows. Lots of equivalent products out there.

Yeah, bought my first one in 2009 and I just replaced it a few weeks ago.
Not because it was slow or anything, just because I got a good deal on a 15inch retina display.
They last forever, that's more than I can say about any Windows laptop I've ever owned.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

Adding to this ...
I bought my first macbook pro in 2008 for about 2k.
I literally have not spent a penny on upgrading it or anything .... Still runs perfect. Not sluggish.
Now try that same scenario with a Windows PC I would have bought in 2008 for about 2k. Do you think it would be running with no issues in 2015? -

On the subject of stability, I dropped my Lenovo off of a bunk bed onto linoleum tiling one time and only got superficial damage. That thing was a tank.FlawlessT, 0TT0 and lil uzi vert stan like this. -

Macs and Macbooks are superior for most uses except gaming. In my opinion, YES they are worth the extra money. I am an ex pc engineer and the issues you get with a pc are pretty major in comparison. Mostly down to software BUT the hardware is super stable too. My office is like a shrine to Apple though so you can forget my fanboy comment if you believe that is what it is...M.I.C., 0TT0 and Ordinary Joel like this. -

I've had my mac since 2011.. it still runs great after all these years and I've probably never shut it down.. its always on
doing that kinda gave it a s-----y battery when its not plugged in but meh
other than being complete s--- for playing video games, it does everything else better and faster than a hp or anything else
still wouldn't recommend buying one though, not worth the money .. like @CharlieWork said in the beginning of the thread, there are much cheaper alternatives
