This came on shuffle today. I forgot how out of this universe this song is. The voice, the delivery, the bars, it’s spot on perfection. It was the last real Eminem song we got before this whole “Woke PC Cancel” culture really got serious. More quotables than I have ever heard in a song before. The whole thing is mesmerizing even down to the simple beat. We REALLY need this Em back. Let me know what you think. I’m sure I’ll get some hate but truthfully it’s incredible.

It’s really not that hard to understand but you have to do some digging to figure out the nuances.

Jumped out of a second floor record store is is a great rhyme scheme and he is setting up bars about about being a bandit and thief team with Edward Norton.

Treacherous four is a play on words for the treacherous three rap group. It would only be on cassette since it’s old and Em has publicly stated how he loves cassettes and collects them. He needs a recorder to record his bars obviously.

Em loves movies and has talked about Primal Fear and Ed Norton in lots of songs (great movie and great actor). This also plays into all the humanitarian work that Ed Norton does in Ecuador. You can google it. Tons of info on it. He is also just setting up the story visually as best he can for the rest of the song.

I'm late to the party, but do you think he was inspired by the first SpongeBob movie when he wrote the David Hasselhoff line? Like Baywatch is pretty irrelevant but the original SpongeBob movie really brought David Hasselhoff back into the limelight and it really makes me wonder if Em watched that movie and wanted to cash in on the David Fever....
