Apr 27, 2015what happened to the foul mouthed, blonde, smart a--- we all loved? I still think he has it in him to release a classic.
but Em needs a publicity stunt. Maybe perform The Real Slim Shady (Part 2?) at the MTV VMA's. and release a concept album. Take old recordings and make new songs and do a flashback album. Show where you used to be and where you are now. Call it Still Infinite. And don't be afraid to diss people. Diss Soulja Boy, Diss Chief Keef, Diss Wayne, Diss Nicki, Diss Iggy, Diss politicians. Diss Everyone. Where's that witty blonde we used to know? In all honesty I don't want him to go backwards. Something Old, Something New would be nice. I just want to hear that heart and energy again. And No more screaming/super fast rhymes about nothing. Just because he chooses to rap like that doesn't excuse it for being trash. He should rap slow like he did on SSLP. Just give us music with heart. Songs like Lose Yourself, Rock Bottom, and Drug Ballad. Songs like Guts Over Fear, Fine Line, Beautiful, and Going Through Changes show he still has it in him. He can still draw on emotion and give us songs filled with heart that are raw. I'm not a fan of the poppy production but the lyrics are there. Truthfully if he has grown out of Slim Shady, than just move forward and give us something new. So long as there's some sort of energy or heart there. Something that's driving him. and if he can't find that drive than make an album about a rapper trying to have one last big hit. talk honestly about aging and growing older. If It worked for Hemingway it can work for Slim Shady.

Relapse was SUPPOSED to be the followup/revist to MMLP.. A whole cd of Dr. Dre production almost completely wasted is such a shame since we probably won't ever hear more than a handful of new Dre beats (He's 50, you can forget about Detox or any new album)..
At this point I'd take the "Hundreds" of songs scrapped from Relapse 2 (no accent), before I'd take new songs from Eminem.. How many better tracks has he released since 2009 that are better than this record? Serious question @Koolo
