    Chance the Rapper announced tonight at concert that Surf will drop within a week. The album, which will be released by Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment, was first announced in October and originally slated to release before the end of 2014. Chance has declined to give the exact release date, but he told Hannibal Buress Surf would be "very much so a Beyoncé kind of thing."

    I wasn't hype for it back when he was dropping tracks here and there, but now I kinda am. Wish he'd just release more rap tho.

    I'm not looking forward to listening to his singing throughout the whole album. He's pretty bad at it. I will give it a chance (no pun intended) but I have a gut feeling that I will quickly delete it off my hard drive and play Acid Rap instead so that remind myself how good chance was in 2013.

    Im very excited to hear this, especially knowing Chance is just a normal member and not like always rapping and taking over the project.

    I just listened to Acid Rap for the first time in a while last night and remembered how much I love Chano. I am really excited for this but I have no doubt that I'll be disappointed :cryfam:

    You definitely should. Have you listened to his past stuff? (Acid Rap and 10 Day) Both are really good projects IMO.

    I tried to listen to Acid Rap but didn't like it. gonna re-download it though and see if I like it now

    That's surprising! Everyone I've talked to about it has loved it. There's some gems on 10 Day too that I'm sure you'd like.
