Do you believe in an after life?

    I sure do.

    Have plenty of friends that don't tho and it doesn't bother me. I'm not one of those people that shove my beliefs down other people's throats or judge them for thinking differently than me.

    No I don't, the reason I don't is because it just doesn't seem realistic to me that there is. I think most likely once you're dead that's it, you're just gone and don't feel anything and you don't exist anymore. Of course there's ways to keep your memory alive but that's another topic.

    With that said I'd absolutely love if there's some sort of after life, I just don't think there is personally.

    Sadly, no. After life is an idea stemming from self importance. Most who believe in it simply can't accept that once we die everything we've ever experienced, every corner of our consciousness, ceases to exist.

    sounds pretty similiar to the movie Vanilla Sky, where Tom Cruise overdoses on pills and they freeze his body shortly after, then his life countinues on in the form of a lucid dream

    I know everyone says that it scares them to think that we just end once we die but I truly don't believe in a god. I don't believe in an after life. I'm raised in a southern Christian home and somehow I just gave up on faith. I really wish I could believe in something.

    The thing that stops me from believing is pretty simple. I just don't. It's like trying to force yourself to fall in love (which I have also done). I just can't believe. I don't think that there is any higher power out there. I think we are alone in our own minds.
