It's an introspective album for sure and he touches on some very important issues throughout the album.
It was just too introspective for me personally but im happy for people that do like the album.

People trying to justify this as being a "masterpiece" or that you need a musical degree to critique it remind me of Revival.

I think I seen someone say that the album is being classed as a double album by Spotify? Could be BS though.

It is a double album on the streaming services, 9 tracks per "CD".
I am not sure about a lot of songs but I can see myself listening to this album a lot. Even his somehow snobbish "deep, artistic" anticks don't annoy me that much this time (like repeating some sentences over and over again to sound, like, more profound? )

Didn't you understand for the first, second, third and the fourth time?

What really brings this album down is Disc 2 imo. Disc 1 is good, some parts of it are even great and outstanding like N95, Father Time or Rich Spirit. Disc 1 would be a 8,5/10 for me or somethin', but the second part of this album is just horrendous. Starts out good with Count me out but after that I allmost fall aslepp with Crown or Silent HIll or or or. The Outro is okay I guess, Mr Morale is good too, but apart from that Disc 2 is just so forgettable. And I really don't think that my opinion will change over time with more spins on that album. The second part just ain't it.

Right now I see it on the web version of Spotify. It doesn't show that split on mobile and I was confused. Still confused why he wanted to do that but whatever the split is definitely not the problem here.

For sure. This is real rap. None of that bs mumble or Tom McDonald rap. This is raw and from the heart. I’m totally moved.

This album also feels like a retirement album and a passing of the torch to Kodak Black. He has the skill set to be the next Kendrick imo. Baby Cream as well.

I don't have a problem with the introspection of this album at all, I love introspective hip-hop. I also love more soulful and piano laden production, so this album should be right up my street.

On the whole though, this album feels very disjointed and all over the place. I'm not implying it was 'lazily' put together because there's clearly blood put into this, but that's the vibe that comes across to me. Whether that's because it's a double album or he's just lost his ability to put together a fully cohesive and strong album, I'm not sure. Sometimes it feels like it's different just to be different. I mean, we finally hear him over an Alchemist beat and he decides to shout/argue over it rather than just rap. It just comes across as the much common curse of albums slowly watering down in quality and simplicity the further an artist gets into their career (Life Of Pablo anybody?).

There's definitely some highs on here (United In Grief, Worldwide Steppers, Father time, Mother I Sober, Mirror) but as a collective album, it just doesn't match up to much of his previous work. I probably slightly prefer it to d---, but that's more personal preference with the production. I think it's clearly his weakest album objectively.

I wonder how much weight there is to the rumor that the label wanted him to rework the album last Fall or whenever that was

Not that I hate or love this album (too early for that) but if It is true, the album sounds as if he told them "f--- you".

Wouldn't surprise me, it has that 'feel'. I mean, it feels more along the lines of Section 80. Unpolished, and disjointed. I'm not hating on the album, I like it. But I know he could of done better.

Go and listen to TPAB and then come back to this...lol, it's not even close.

That's not a good idea for because I really dislike TPAB sans a few tracks.

S8/GKMC is the stuff for me.

I still need to listen to this one a little more though and it's possible I might end up putting this above the 2pac poem album
