It's a masterpiece but the last part...........even though it flows perfectly and sounds vocally good, the lyrics aren't quality stuff. The first part of his verse shows the drastic difference when we talk about content.
Jun 5, 2022 Sounds pretty much just like anything off MTBMB. Have a hard time seeing Em really change it up again at this stage of his career tbh. He's way too much into the punchlines, doubles, jokes etc and seems comfortable with his current style. Still think simply streamlining his albums would help a lot to make them way better. Kamikaze, MTBMB and Side B all have at least 2-3 tracks that could've been cut without any loss of content.

Jun 5, 2022 Good Guy Nice Guy Stepdad Those Kinda Nights In Too Deep Come to mind. Would personally add Venom, Normal, Farewell to that list as well. Most of Side B too imo, but that was just a Deluxe anyway. Yeah i'm sure for every one of these there's someone who bumps it 24/7 and thinks its the best thing ever but imo all his recent projects felt kinda bloated and a bit all over the place.

Jun 5, 2022 Yeah most people are in agreement that these are the weakest cuts when it comes down to it. If Em doesn’t have the ear for this as he’s too close to the work itself then he needs someone around him that can be honest & help him craft the albums better. Until then it’s rinse & repeat filler.
Jun 6, 2022 In too deep is a bit different in that it’s not really about a relationship ending or necessarily a “toxic” relationship in that it’s abusive. Instead it’s a different type of toxic relationship about consistent cheating and s--- I think it’s a good song
