My answer is that there are multiple reasons. Most obvious being his production. Literally every single song he has ever produced has been above average at worst, and over half of his production discography is top tier, some of the best s--- in the world. His overall song crafting is really great as well, and what I mean by that is that not only is the production amazing, but he always knows the right thing to use and the proper placement. The warbling a the end of Runaway, in the fashion that it was used, is something not many artists could have pulled off. As @Narsh said his taste is really great, too. And not just in the sense of "oh, he likes what I like", he pulls from all sorts of music. In the last year he's worked with Chief Keef to Paul McCartney, and managed to make both into great collaborations. This is my favorite aspect of him personally, because unlike his fanbase, Kanye doesn't really turn up his nose at what would be considered "lesser" artists. He's able to see the talent in any human being at put that at the forefront of the music. I think overall you could say Kanye just has a wonderful sense of musicality in all facets of his art.

Real talk @cmmn.sns @Koolo I see Kanye's personality brought up a lot (which shouldn't matter because not only is it none of our business but it has absolutely no correlation to the music itself) but I honestly don't get why he's considered such a bad guy.

Like, before the Taylor Swift incident, I'd never seen or heard anyone ever say negative things about him. And its been proven that Yeezy was drunk off his a---, which doesn't excuse it totally but he has apolagized and I can personally attest that alcahol makes you do dumb s---

And then everyone wants to go off on him like he has a big ego and s---, but I mean the only s--- I've ever heard him say that sounds big-headed is that he is his favorite rapper. But why is that a bad thing? Why are we crucifying a man for enjoying his own craft as much as his fans?

Every single artist/celebrity who has met him and gotten to know him had stated that he's a really cool dude, he's just cocky. And idk, cockiness can get annoying, especially to people who already dislike the guy, but that's not enough to make him a "terrible human being" in my book.

And then in top of that there's the fact that its in the medias best interest to make yall think he's a terrible person, so they'll constantly publish flat out lies about Kanye in order to stir up a fuss, because what is everyone gonna do when they hear the uproar? Go to the media and check it out, thereby giving the sites more views. @Koolo, you should know personally from things such as that hasitleaked interview that people love to hate, especially on big name people. It makes little guys feel better knowing these huge names are just as bad as them. That's why they'll do everything in their power to put a negative spin on things in relation to Kanye, just like HIL made backhanded remarks to you throughout the interview.

Journalists can be snakes, and it really surprises me that people take their word on celebrities at face value when thwir bottom line depends on shi--ing on guys like Ye.
