you're undoubtedly right on tpp. my broader point is just that hillary, as the more centrist candidate (by virtue of her resume or by her own design, probably both), has had the slow creep outward toward the base that frontrunners traditionally do during primaries. i don't think that sanders has warped the race in a way that's different than the challengers in any election season; i would also argue that paying lip service to "breaking up wall street" is probably not that substantive and won't be a major issue in the general.

no, "tenor" refers to the tone and atmosphere of the race. trust me, this is My Actual Job.

sure- i was responding to something specific you said in a previous post. broadly - you are correct, particularly if you're insinuating much of bernie's momentum is media-driven.

he's tapped into a fundamental flaw of the clinton campaign tho - why is she running? she still cant rly answer in a way that isn't pandering. she's female romney in some respects.

very absurd. mike ryan did a piece yday about savage snl impressions (speaking of snl) -- al gore, palin... even bush (to an extent)... larry david's impression is a love letter by contrast

yeah, not a 1 to 1. I think fundamentally voters want a digestible rationale for a white house bid -- bernie's one issue, trump's wall, cruz is an a------. hrc's team has the apparatus, and history making as the first female president... but boiled down, she's ted kennedy w roger mudd

btw -- arguing about whether or not wall st regulation will play well in the general doesn't change the fact that it has necessarily become a more prominent feature of her platform
and fwiw, her thoughts on the subject are far more nuanced than "lip service"

I believe it. From my POV, I don't need another 60 minutes telling me what I already know.
For others in this thread, well... I think you're underestimating how stubborn people are with their political believes. So much so that sitting through 60 minutes of something they stand against will never occur.
