    Had a buddy who was laid off last year. He was depressed at first, but started to view it as a vacation. The company paid him severance over the next 8 months so he sat at home playing PS4 and masturbating all day.

    I got let go of my first real job out of college less than a year after it started. Really s----d, everyone got let go. I didn't get severance and if you're entry level you're expected to have 3 years experience which makes zero sense, so finding a new job immediately was tough. I was off for almost a year on unemployment which was a lot less than I made so it wasn't anything like a vacation, but I had a cool hobby on the side that paid me. Plus extra time to masturbate so it wasn't all bad.
