9/10. A legend doing what he does best over great beats. He even touches on some unique song concepts like on “First Time” rapping about your first time hearing your favorite artist or on “Beef” where he literally personifies beef. My only complaint is that there could’ve been more variety on this album in terms of vibes, moods, etc.

This might be the best one of the trilogy.

I still liked Magic a lot better than this but it’s definitely the best KD album

    I only dislike 1 track — “30”

This was a total knockout, Nas is f---ing killing it & I’ve never been a big Hitboy fan but this duo is an absolute goldmine & knocked my opinions on Hitboy completely on their head.

At least an 8/10 first listen. Can’t wait to run it back.

I’ve always listened to nas but never was my go to . Praise him as one of if not the best story teller in music history. On my weekend with nothing to do I’m on my third listen to the album . And made me realize that’s why I’m not that big of a nas fan. I don’t have time to listen . This album makes me want to go Re-listen to the first 2 and magic . And even go through his catalog

How does he write like this? Personifying beef making it appear to be executed so effortlessly.

I'm the words that get misinterpreted
I'm the get back, I'm the first to hit
I'm the worst of it, lurkin' on your premises
    I am your nemesis
Parents of every slain rapper wish I didn't exist
But I'm alive and I thrive on your ignorance
I'm a thousand foot fence that keep you from getting rich

Why it's always gotta be resortin' to me?
I ain't asked for this power
It's torture, it forced me to see
People drainin' themselves, some pull off some horrible deeds
Rumors turnin' into a monster, lies always mislead
By the time you hear what somebody said
It's stretched out, they expanded and made it worse
    Now you all stressed out
You wish you got it straightened out
    But it's too far gone
From "Who Shot Ya?" to "Hit Em Up" to Tupac's song

This has the potential to be my favourite Nas album, only time will tell.

I like this album as much as the next guy, but we gotta slow down here. You have to go back and listen to Illmatic, Stillmatic, It Was Written...there's more I would put over this as well

You probably right, I’m in the honeymoon period right now. Illmatic I always place in its own universe but the other projects always had a few duds & even some of the great concepts had issues with production & this one knocks it out of the park on that front. But yeah, I’ll see how I feel after the dust settles.
