I may have misunderstood some s---, but did Drake call 21 "daddy" on one of the tracks?

I’ve only listened to the album twice so I’m not sure, but it’s highly likely.

I agree all three of them could have been better. Drakes albums since scorpion were mid but i think overall he has a good collection of albums even tho he releases so much every year. The problem with kendrick is he takes way too f---ing long to release an album. In todays market you have to be active all the time. I hate rappers acting like they are mystic prophets and things like that. It shows in his fanbase a lot of them are hip hop nerds and old hip hop fans that worship him like he is jesus. Cole is still a phenomenon for me how he is so successful even tho he is a average to good rapper. He sounds like every other good rapper that raps on beats. Nothing special about him. I also dont think he has classic albums. Dont come at me with that 2014Fhd its a good album but classics have to do more than be good.
Drake is the most popular and his discography is overall pretty good with take care his best album and definitely a classic that changed hip hop

What kept Drake alive since 2017 was the hit collabs, he had hits for himself, but also for other artists. Even helped artists blow up or stay around, when it comes to old artists.

    He said it himself:

I jump on your song and make the label think they need ya

A lot of the songs grew on me when I didn't take them as trying to be anything more than okay s--- talking records, there's some very entertaining songs on here once you get past that Drake shouldn't be acting this way at his age lol.

Definitely Drake at his most consistently bearable in a while.

I should love this album a lot more than I do. 21 Savage is one of my favorite rappers, and I always thought his collabs with Drake were fire. For whatever reason, I’m not loving this project as much as everyone else. Maybe it’s because I’m distracted by the Joji album. I’m still wavering between a 6 or 7/10 for this project. In all reality I thought before it came out I would think it’s an 8 or 9. Idk, maybe I’m just too depressed for this album right now:emoji_shrug:

Other than backoutsideboyz the solo Drake songs drag it down from being a collab tape, and hours in silence was also boring from what I remember. The album was at its best when Drake and 21 were on high energy beats talking s--- imo.

It could've also done with more adlibs or contributions to each other's verses like them going back and forth about hopping on your song and Drake doing the adlibs about 21's Adidas line and s---.

I agree with you 100%. I’m not a Drake hater or anything but I really wish there weren’t 4 whole a--- Drake solo songs. Not to mention there’s only 1 solo 21 Savage song and it’s just him doing a song in Drake’s style anyway. I liked the first 3 songs best and other songs like it because they were going back and forth talking s---. Soon after that the album just gets boring for me. If I remember correctly it picks back up a bit toward the end of the album though. I really think trimming off those solo Drake songs would make me like the album a lot more

Other than Drake sounding a little lazy in spots (which honestly is fine since it feels like he's carrying this thing for the rest of it), I like it more than a lot of other projects that dropped this year.
