    FINAL VERDICT:
    If I was given more tracks like the first four, I would have genuinely kept this in my iTunes. Instead, I was given 4 good tracks, 2 okay tracks and 4 f---ing horrendous tracks. 9/10 of the beats were actually nice, his flow is good on some of these, he actually had a clever line from time to time, but some of these are DEFINITELY not essentials. Disappointed with some of this but I loved the first few tracks. Oh well, I gave him a proper shot.

    What about the Starter Kit (Loose Tracks)? May as well give them a try too. Wouldn't hurt.

    Okay I started to write a track by track review of the Loose Tracks but I got bored so I'll sum it up like this:
    Track 1 - 7/10
    Track 2 - 3/10
    Track 3 - 3/10
    Track 4 - 2/10
    Track 5 - 6/10
    Track 6 - 5.5/10
    Track 7 - 9/10 (the track itself is a 6.5 but Kanye mixed it so it's instantly better)
    Track 8 - 6.5/10
    Track 9 - 4.5/10
    Track 10 - 7/10
    I'm gonna take tracks from both Starter Kits and create a better album. Thanks @Narsh :emoji_thumbsup:

    Welp if anything I guess the takeaway is that he has MANY MANY MANY tracks like the first four, so if you did actually like them you're in luck lol.

    I feel like some artists just aren't meant for some people due to their musical taste... Case in point, @LukeS80 doesn't like 2 Cups Stuffed. If that doesn't appeal to you, don't bother trying any other lists because that's one of his essential songs and he clearly isn't for you. There's nothing wrong with that, Thug just doesn't provide what you want in music and what he brings to the table isn't a major factor, musically, for you.

    Nah don't really agree you could make 3 different essential tapes for thug with 3 distinct styles

    I just tried to haphazardly put together one with somewhat of a variety

    Yeah, but the core of Thug that is hard to get past (abrasive voice, sus lyrics, oddball delivery) consistently detracts from all his styles if you don't like it, which clearly Luke does not

    No, from the perspective of someone who doesn't like him all those things detract heavily

    Trust me, I know both sides. A year ago I hated his songs with a passion, and then it clicked. But for some it doesn't click and all those things I mentioned turn to negatives
