    This isnt "buying into right wing bs". This was just a one-sided trade. No one is saying she should've been in jail for weed. No one is saying she shouldn't be home.

    Trump freeing Taliban prisoners was a s--- move. Idk of anyone who cosigned that. Trump has nothing to with this though. Just because I am critical of some s--- this administration does, that doesnt mean I'm team GOP.

    We look dumb as f--- blasting Russia for "wrongful detainment" while we still have our own people sitting in prison for the same s---.

    Do I think d--- dealers should sell drugs to minors? Absolutely not. But blaming a random d--- dealer for getting a minor addicted to drugs isn't addressing any significant societal/social/political/etc issue that will help curb the addiction problems in the USA.

    Biden could pardon all federal prisoners who are in for non-violent drug offenses by the stroke of a pen. Takes a lot less effort than a prisoner swap with Russia. It's just a fact.

    This isnt about what a single arms dealer is going to do. It's about the fact that other Americans were left behind because they aren't professional athletes. It's about how this sends a message to other countries that says "hey you detain our citizens and we'll send whatever prisoner you want back to you". It's about a President who won't put in the same effort to free his own people that his crime bill put away.

    No, it wasn't. The First Step Act actually got people out of prison, and changed sentencing guidelines. But you don't want to acknowledge that because it would somehow be giving Trump credit.

    meh, no one knew this arms dealer 2 weeks ago, now everyone acts like they've known for years how evil he is. Wasn't he gonna be released soon anyways? US couldn't keep him forever while Russia had Brittany for another 9 years or whatever it was.
