Probably just as much as you care about letting me know you don't think "deterrent" is the proper word to use. :idk:

seems like you refuse to give Eminem credit where it's due, especially on MMLP, here's how many of the other popular outlets view it.

In 2006, The Marshall Mathers LP was chosen by Time as one of the 100 greatest albums of all time. That same year, Q ranked it number 85 on a list of the greatest albums of all time, the highest position held by any rap album on the list. The Marshall Mathers LP was also the highest ranked rap album on the National Association of Recording Merchandisers & the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's list of the 200 greatest albums of all time, where it was placed at number 28. It has been named one of the greatest albums of the 2000s decade by Rolling Stone, who ranked it seventh, Complex, who ranked it fourth, and Pitchfork Media, who ranked it 119th.

The Marshall Mathers LP has been ranked as one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time by Rolling Stone, Time, and XXL. Rolling Stone placed the album at number 7 on its list of the best albums of the 2000s. The album was ranked number 244 by Rolling Stone on their list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. In 2010, Rhapsody ranked it number 1 on their "The 10 Best Albums by White Rappers" list.

I personally think SSLP is his worst or hardest to listen to.. but Recovery would fall right behind that. :emoji_thumbsup:

    THANK YOU!

for once you two don't agree on everything under the sun.

i think most people would give eminem more credit than wpg did. eminem gets quite a bit of praise--and not just from the stans who act like eminem is the only artist to ever make rap music. he also gets lots of praise from other rappers who think pretty highly of him. i can understand people not being too crazy about his post-encore work, but every rapper falls off eventually.

i agree with wpg saying that eminem was great at rhyming words, i've always held that position.....but his ratings for his first 3 albums are too low

it just amazes me that someone like you who I consider very knowledgable when it comes to hip hop to basicly write off one of the greatests. It would be like an aspiring artist saying Picasso never had a masterpeice.

Not sure you're using "deduce" correctly but it's in the ballpark.

Of course you are aware, you're a f---ing hipster you buffoon.
It's literally your purpose in life, to make sure other people know, you know, you have unpopular taste. Smh.

that's the worst analogy i've ever heard. i'm not an aspiring painter, and eminem isn't picasso. i've listened to eminem very carefully. i'm not writing him off at all. two 7.5 albums is a pretty good resume.

i think you're mixing me up with someone else. i don't have particularly obscure taste. my top ten records from last year aren't that outlandish. my #1 album of the decade when a website had me make a list was kanye west, not exactly a deep cut

Agree with your first part of the post. Eminem is straight cornball now. Fred Durst cringe worthy corny. But, those review scores....come on now, sslp is the greatest, mmlp is a classic, eminem show is fantastic. Give encore some time, you will change your mind. Enough time hasn't passed yet. You rated mmlp2 too high.
