....Sigh. I'm well past my Eminem phase, but I'll still listen to what he puts out in the hope that he might drop a gem now and then. I had hope for this one based on the movie trailer. This song that should have been a layup for Eminem is an absolute train wreck. These are the reasons why:

1. Listen, I'm no audiophile or anything close to being an expert on sound quality, but how can someone who has been making music for his entire life put out something that sounds so f---ing terrible? I can barely hear a word he's saying, the entire beat is schizophrenic, the chorus is inaudible...please someone tell me I'm wrong?? Did they accidentally put the unmastered version on iTunes? I'm genuinely perplexed by this...I haven't read this thread but surely other people have noticed this. I just don't understand how someone with the supposed production and mixing talents of Eminem can possibly listen to this and think it actually sounds LISTENABLE, let alone good. If the music is sonically pleasing, I can actually get past some of the lyrical....."missteps" Em seems to take in every song nowadays, which brings me to my next point...

2. This was not a difficult song to make. Inspirational, soundtrack...motivational gym song. This should be an easy task for the man who put out Lose Yourself, Sing for the Moment, and Till I Collapse....until I remembered his last "pump up" tracks were Won't Back Down and Survival. He literally could have used generally generic lyrics and nobody would have complained. Instead, we have head-scratching lines that have nothing to do with the song and are just absolutely pointless. Examples:

"The messiest thing you've ever gone through is your purse!" --- Why is he talking to a women all of the sudden? Who is she? What does she have to do with this song? This is an obvious and horrible crutch sober Em has reverted to, talking to an imaginary "hoe" out of nowhere. Pointless.

"Put a spark to it like Martha Stewart barbecuing" --- Yes, it rhymes. So does 'This lyric is trash, put a spear in your a---, your spirit is whack!" except mine actually makes more sense. Does Martha Stewart even barbecue? What does she have to do with this song? Come on.

"The only thing I'm capable of making is amazing!" ------.....lol.

3. That flow just needs to stop. Someone needs to strap him in a chair and force him to listen to "Square Dance" on loop 1000 times.

Good for the people enjoying this. I'm happy you like it. But you have terrible taste in music.

Second Verse is my favorite i think its great,first verse is okay probably the weakest, i dont like the beat change of the 3rd verse but i like the content although the voice change at the start annoys i think this song was pretty great all around that hook is godly

Not gonna say anything on the artistry of this song, but seriously this

Why does an artist as huge as em have such atrocious mixing/mastering on this track?
He must be able to get better music technicians to polish his stuff than whoever did this right?
What the h--- happened here....

Doesn't Eminem mix the songs himself now? Obviously has too many yes men who won't tell him he is terrible at mixing. Relapse was s--- but Dre had it mixed properly.

I've already mentioned a few times that I'm not in anyway shape or form aninated. Why would I be. I've still only heard this songew once for f---s sake lol. I'm sitting here at work buring time man, but don't let that stop you if you're hoping on getting some sorta self gratification out going back and forth with me.

yeh man. actually I like the stop and go thing but not always . I really loved the song. when i listened to it i really loved the chorus. the first two verses were fine for me. that bridge was meeh" and that third veerse.. loooved it. but one thing is bothering me. I dont know if its just me (i didnt read all the pages so someone musta said that) but I dont know what's up the mastering. idk. i feel like the sound isnt clear/professionally mastered
