You underrate his prime soooo much, and then put wayne and boosie in the top 20, and say Eminem is SOMEWHERE in the top 100.

i think he has two very good records and a handful of great loosies, especially his diss tracks and radio freestyles. he was a really, really good rapper.

what does one thing have to do with the other? are you implying that boosie and wayne are worse than eminem by default, as a given? i'll bet the house you haven't given boosie's catalog the proper attention. if you're stumping for eminem like this, i'm suspicious of your attitude toward wayne, as well.

he is.

I don't know much Boosie, and even with Lil Wayne there is so much I still need to listen to...

But you'll never admit or probably even know how badly you view Eminem in his prime. He wasn't a "2 very good records" and "a handful of great loosies"

I think you're right in not overrating him like so many as the greatest thing ever.. but he's substantially better than you will ever give him credit for.

then stop trying to have this conversation. you're using two all-time great rappers as straw men in an argument because you're not familiar with their music. if you think my reading of eminem is offbase and want to discuss that, by all means, ask/say whatever you want. but don't obscure it by taking pot shots at artists you haven't even listened to.

rebirth is pretty terrible. the latter 60% of eminem's career is pretty terrible. honestly, it's a wash. beyond that, ranking the worst records in someone's catalog is the worst possible way to debate rappers' careers.

also, have fun diving into someone's catalog with the sole purposing of disliking it enough to defend eminem in front of strangers on the internet. must be miserable.

i'm very obviously saying that records that are bad (say, in the < 4.5 range) basically flatten out and trying to decide which is worse is a fool's errand.

wayne doesn't have "multiple terrible records." the second human being isn't good, but it's not encore.
