there is absolutely no way kendrick has surpassed e-40, snoop, mac dre, too short, kool keith, ice cube, eazy e, spice-1, busdriver, etc. give him time.

serengeti >>>>>>> common, and i love common.

is there any proof that any of the beastie boys so much as set foot in michigan before their first national tour? do you just love white rappers and imagine they all come from lafayette park?

Im not a rap aficionado.. as you can tell lol

But i am from Michigan, and growing up my dad loved the Beastie Boys and I used to listen to his cds. I could have sworn they were from Detroit.

Either way, I'm not the biggest fan. But placing them in the top 5 list, my top 5 list, sounds good to me

    Wu Tang:

    1. ghostface
    2. gza
    3. Raekwon
    4. Method Man
    5. ODB

Killer Mike>TI & Young jeezy for sure. Andre 3k is the undisputed king of ATL though and probably the south.

Killer Mike is probably better than big boi too if we are looking at their solo outputs.

E-40 has bunch of filler in his discography though (I feel like most Bay Area rappers do). Also, his music gets pretty repetitive.

some people get way too gassed up about Kendrick. as good, or as GREAT as he is, he probably hasn't even passed ras kass, del, kurupt, MC Eiht, DJ Quik, or murs.

I d--- near lost my mind when people were saying Kendrick>2pac on SL

yeah but there are quite a few great albums littered in his discography. you can't really compare him to kendrick in that regard, Kendrick hasn't matched his output at all.

The kendrick > nas thread was gold, I was saying how boring Illmatic is, Fried agreed with me and some other dude thought I was serious and told me to get a brain (lol?).

Can someone post suggestions on Kool Keith? I've only listened to Critcal Beatdown
