Jun 16, 2023Deaf, are u fr. Pretty sure the tech is there now where deaf people can pretty much hear. Ain’t no fake eyeballs that actually see for you that i know of bro. And not being able to see is infinitely more crippling in day-to-day life than not being able to hear. I have pretty s-----y vision and it makes me wanna kms sometimes but im not about to put on some glasses like a nerd

As much as this would s--- — I'd still have to pick deaf easily. And though it wouldn't be the same a lot of deaf people still do this:
I've seen deaf people at music festivals and concerts enjoying them because they can feel the beat from the drums and bass rattling the ground.
Plus there's a lot of deaf enclaves so there are communities in place built around being deaf. I'm sure there are with blind people too, but being blind it would be much more difficult to live life unassisted. You can still be 100% independent as a deaf person. As a deaf person you can still enjoy film, tv, books, video games, etc easily as far as media goes. Just need subtitles, which I have on for everything I watch anyway (besides standup cuz it ruins the punchlines)Inanna, Ordinary Joel and M.I.C. like this. -
