As a young woman Gladys Holbrook, a diehard baseball fan, played the game mostly as an outfielder.
But now it’s her pitching ability that will get a test when the 102-year-old superfan throws out the first pitch at the Brewers game on May 31. She told the Sheboygan Press that she has been a longtime fan of the Brewers — though maybe not always their manager. When asked what their chances are to do well this year, she was brutally honest.
“I hope the manager will do something,” she said. “For awhile I thought I might have to manage them because I thought I could do a better job.”
Probably still going to be better than 50's first pitch
