May 26, 2015 It's The Eminem Show birthday so here i collected facts about this album. Need contributions though! 1. The Eminem Show was scheduled for a June 4 release, copies were hitting the shelves a full week early 2. The majority of the album was produced by Eminem himself. 3. Eminem believes Superman to be one of his worst videos. It was influenced by LL Cool J’s video “ I need Love “. 4. Shannon Elizabeth was Eminem's first choice to star in the video, although this never came to fruition, as they could not come to terms. 5. "Hailie's Song" was supposed to contain an interpolation from George Harrison's "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" but George's widow retracted George's permission. Em had to redo the whole song. 6. It was Dr. Dre who convinced Em to include Hailie's Song on TES. Dre played the song to two of his female friends and when they cried he was convinced that it should be included on Em's new album. Em had originally planned on just keeping the track in a safe for Hailie to listen to when she grows up. He was embarassed to have it released at first. 7. Without Me was TES’s first single since MMLP. The song was featured in Despicable Me 2 Trailer. 8. ‘Til I collapse was used in an advert for the game COD: Mordern Warfare 2. It was also featured in the Real Steel and Savages movie Trailer 9. Sing For the Moment was the first song Eminem wrote for TES. Eminem refused to accept Steven Tyler's 2002 Version "Dream On" for the song SFTM and wanted to use the original one. From COMC book. “ Marshall got pissed off at him when they were backstage at Aerosmith's concert. Marshall said he was talking to Steve Tyler about using the music from their "Dream On" song for a track on his new CD. Marshall wanted to use the original version but Steven Tyler offered to redo the vocals for the track and give him the 2002 version. Marshall tried to turn him down. Marshall said he was thinking it would sound like s--- because Steven's voice does not sound the same anymore, but he did not want to say that. So here's Kid Rock who Marshall said was pretty trashed, and he started saying stuff like " hey, this is f---ing Areosmith here! You don't turn down Aerosmith, what's wrong with you?" Put on the spot, Marshall accepted Steven Tyler's offer. He said he wanted to k--- Bob! Turns out, Marshall said the new version did sound like s--- and he decided to go with the old version anyway which offended Steven Tyler. Marshall said he was on the phone with him for over and hour trying to smooth things over. He had to use some reason other then the truth, that Steven Tyler's voice is not what it used to be 10 .In Square Dance second verse, Em said : “ I'm 28, They gonna take you 'fore they take me, Crazy insane or insane crazy? “ at the time, he was 30. 11. The song is playing in the background of The Kiss Skit is : Everyone’s Looking at me. It was a song that EM recorded for The Wash soundtrack, but never made it. he only version put out was when he rapped it on radio! 12. In The Steve Berman Skit, The song Ain’t Nothing But Music is playing in the background. Steve Berman is the Vice Chairman of Interscope 13. Cleanin’ Out My Closet was supposed to be the theme song of 8 Mile. Universal and Interscope have originally agreed for Em to use it, that’s why it was used in the 1st 8 Mile trailer. But Em thought that, ‘it was too personal to use for the movie. ’ Em no longer plays it the concert anymore.

May 26, 2015 On Hailie’s Song, both on the censored and explicit version, the line 'God, I’m a Daddy, So Glad that her mom didn’t want her' was scratched out because the line sounded too similar to abort her.
