Trip was once in a lifetime.
Minnesota was all I had hoped for. The weather was f---ing hard though, so humid and hot! Loved Maple Lake and did ziplining for the first time!
American Airlines I would never recommend. They messed us about so much and aren't built for accommodating accessibility. Due to this, we had to ditch our DC plans and it had an overall impact for a lot of our domestic flying.
Philadelphia was nice but the hotel we stayed at had a mites problem. Markets were chill and went to the Philly Library for the Rocky steps!
Amtrak from Philly to NY was real nice, and then the week in NY was filled with the ferry to see the Statue of Liberty, going to Central Park, American Museum of Natural History, Rockerfeller Center, NY Mets/Seattle Mariners game in Queens, and meeting up with a s80 alumni.
Had to take the Amtrak from NY to Niagara Falls as NY Laguardia Airport didn't have airplanes big enough to accommodate two wheelchair users. That train ride was 11 hours. Niagara Falls itself was amazing! 10/10 would do it again.
Last stop was in Chicago and tried a deep dish pizza and explored Navy Pier. Chicago reminded me of home just due to the weather and the city vibes.
Some cities had UberWAV which was good, while others only had Accessible Taxis to use. Even then, these mfs only operated Monday-Friday, like people in wheelchairs aren't allowed to get out and about on weekends or something?
Anyway, that's the abridged summary of my trip. I'm planning to flesh out my trip a bit more in the next week, but long story short it was an amazing experience! -

oh yes DKC reminded me...if you're looking for a good comedy spot in NYC check out Comedy Cellar. Cheap shows with amazing comics. Sometimes you'll get lucky and someone famous like a Chappelle will just show up.Inanna, DKC and Ordinary Joel like this. -

NYC is pretty big so I don't know if you'll have time to go to every place and tell them you like it. But what are you looking to do?icecube, Ordinary Joel and M.I.C. like this.
