Inspired by this great shady records / Eminem marketing plan

Give me your top to least favorite Shady artists

    1. 50 / Obie (tied for me)
    3. Conway
    4. Stat Quo
    5. Yelawolf
    6. Cashis
    7. Slaughterhouse
    8. Westside Gunn
    9. D12
    10. GRIP
    11. Bobby Creekwater
    12. Westside Boogie

though I did like Em grip track so maybe grip will move up the charts…

as discussed in another thread…shady/Em prime marketing was with 50, Obie, d12….he did try decently hard with yelawolf and slaughterhouse….he was high with cashis, stat quo and Bobby creek…and I think he barely cares about boogie and grip…Griselda we’re on their own wave…barely had shady influence / marketing…just co sign

For me I only really messed with 50 then Obie and of course D12 die to Devils Night. Oh griselda got some fire too.

    50
    Obie
    D12
    Griselda
    Stat
    The rest tbh

Yela Love Story just isn't for me but I understand its a good project for country rap or as @Chaotic Progress calls it... Barn Dance Rap LOL

Ca$his would have pooped off if King Mathers era happened.

Hard to say 50 isn't the best tho, Obie is nice but he was carried by the era more than the music imo.

Wasn't Stat signed the Aftermath not shady as well

Bobby Creekwater should be last place tho, mans so bad. I heard he was just a Ca$his alt anyway.

agree with cashis take…I did like that tracks Em and cashis did…they had chemistry and def would be solid debut album…especially with 50 feature and Em still involved…had potential…the county hound ep was good

stat was shady and aftermath…I liked him too…some of those leaks from his shady album were fire imo

good point with Obie..,since he fell off after shady…but I loved his shady albums…think Em Obie had great chemistry too but you’re right…timing is everything…right place right time for Obie

Bobby was whatever but I still like him more than grip and boogie…so I’ll wait and see…there’s got to be some Eminem and Bobby creek tracks in the vault that I’m curious to hear…not enough material…he had re up album and some mixtape and that’s sbout it

forgot there was a DJ green Lantern shady album that I’m sure would be fire because it was during Eminem/50 peak shady era before he was dropped….because of ja rule jada fat joe song

I would love to hear the leaks from that album…I think it was called Armageddon…

Green Laterns blends and mixes were fantastic, f---ing Jadakiss for making a diss song too good.

Shame alot of Ca$his stuff is lost to time if you don't have the mixtapes downloaded.

I'm gonna write in order of favorite vs. success. Because if it's success then that's written for you and we already know what the order is.

    1. Yelawolf
    2. 50 Cent
    3. D12
    4. Obie Trice
    5. Slaughterhouse
    ...

Haven't paid attention (other than interviews etc.) to the rest.

Are we just considering what slaughterhouse did as a group or their solo stuff as well.

because joe buddens mood muzik series and Royce’s bar exam series would land them in a higher category than a handful of artists

d--- hard to rank. You've got artists of varying talent, appeal; varying levels of success creatively and commercially, both from their time on the label and before/after. Shady Records did f--- all for you after like 2003 in all honesty. I don't understand how Eminem can do basically nothing but hip hop and be the face of such a s---, inactive label.

Yelawolf is probably my favourite overall. Has made some good projects, is pretty consistent, got several albums released on the label and managed to maintain a career after getting away.
I like Obie as a rapper; he has one of my favourite voices/deliveries but his career petered out fast on Shady and bled out worse after.
Grip I like quite a bit. I hope whatever deal he signed is doing something good behind the scenes.

    They're my top 3.

I still love d12 and 50. Obie too. Shady 1.0. the re-up era signees were mixed.

Honestly never liked slaughterhouse, even pre shady. Lyrical miracle bs. Yelawolf started doing country s---, boring.

And since then all shady signees basically don't even feel affiliated with shady. Like to say Griselda is shady doesnt even feel correct
