It was already confirmed the album was done. He recorded it and finished it the same time as Relapse 1. The original plan was to release it six months after the original (hence the "Two CDs?!" Steve Berman skit) but Em went back into the studio in the summer of 2009 and started recording material going in a different direction (which would eventually become Recovery). This led to Relapse 2 being scrapped. Em has said that he recorded three albums worth of material (Relapse, Relapse 2, Refill, etc) when he sobered up in 2008. Just gives you an idea of how much unreleased material there still is in the vault from that era.

Considering the general consensus about the first one, it's safe to say there won't be a Relapse 2. I'd happily trade Recovery for it myself, maybe another Koolo will strike one day.

Those vaults man. Em must have albums worth of unreleased material that fans would k--- for.

Relapse was pretty bad and part 2 would likely have been worse but I doubt it could have been as bad as Recovery

No chance, this is what Eminem has said about Relapse.

“I wasn’t disappointed when I put it out. When I felt that was later, when I was reassessing my work; trying to figure out why my songs didn’t sound like they used to sound,”

There must be enough unheard material accumulated throughout his career that they could be releasing new material each couple of years for many years after his death. He must have multiple albums worth of good material and many unfinished songs and projects.

Tupac died at the age of 25, only about 5 years into his career and just look at the amount of material they released posthumously.

Eminem is 15-20 years in and still going. There must be so many unreleased classics from different eras of his career.

Not wishing his death at all, but I'm afraid i will be too old to care about his music when that day comes.

In the album he processed his bad experiences. I think there will be no "Relapse 2".
Its a very personally Album which is based on Eminems drug-experience.
