    Thanks man! I have a rough second verse in place. I’m slowly working on some new music, it’s coming up on 3 years since my last release.

    30-40 min. when doing melodic/singing tracks I typically just turn the mic on, hit record and freestyle it. I then go back and pick and choose parts that worked, tighten up the lyrics/keep the flow but change the lyrics, and then record a written take.

    also before recording I'll apply the mixing FX on the live audio track as a mask. records the vocals dry but lets me hear the "final" sound live via playback while recording. saves time on the mixing.
