Dec 15, 2023 Of the year! After the Dark side, with ghosts, serial killers and demons... in december I always watch cheesy and corny christmas movies. What can I say I love them! So far: Bad Santa f---ing love this one. It does have a christmas message and a (twisted) character growth, but its mostly just swearing and being f----- up. The lead character is literally Hank Moody from Californication except even worse. An anual watch tbh. 2 people dress up to play Santa and an Elf in malls, only to end up robbing the place. A must watch tbh. 8.5/10 Trading Places A classic. Two rich people make a bet that they can turn a well adjusted man into a criminal, and a criminal into a succesful man. Then they sabotage both of their lives to make it happen. It's hilarious, its fun and also just a really good movie. Not really a christmas movie but its during the holiday season so I watch it every december. 8.5/10 Father Christmas is Back A netflix movie. Siblings throw a huge rich people christmas weekend, only for their absent father to show up. Its okay I guess... but except for Kelsey Grammers character they are all so unlikable lol. 5/10 Holidate Emma Roberts is a queen! But yeah this is not really about christmas. 2 single people who are getting tired of their families asking why they are alone make a deal to play eachothers date during holidays (all holidays). And of course.... don't have to tell you whats happening. The chemistry between the leads is good and its actually a decent movie in general, but its way too sappy for me and not the christmas themed movie I hoped it would be. 6/10 Four christmases Yeah this didn't click w me at all. A very 'cool' couple that want to escape christmas can't fly because of s-----y weather. So they are visiting their parents, that are also all divorced. So many stupid and unfunny characters, jezus. I kinda liked how the couple changed during the movie, but for a movie that was supposed to be 'hilarious' I barely had a smile. 4/10 Tudo Bem No Natal Que Vem A Brazilian movie about a guy that dislikes christmas... gets trapped in a timeloop where he has to spend christmas forever. When I saw this sypnosis ofcourse I thought: Groundhog Day / Happy Death Day christmas style! And I was fine w that. But it actually is a lot more than that, and a little different. In a good way. Very touching and even if it has some funny moments its way more serious and emotional than I expected. But not in a sappy cliché kinda way.. okay maybe a little. Really a positive surprise! 8/10 Lets go on to the next ones. And please share your holiday picks!

Dec 19, 2023 How is Groundhog day a christmas movie? Dont get me wrong I love it but its february. Also, but thats personal, I dont think just because a movie has a christmas tree in it, means its a christmas movie.
Dec 19, 2023 Yeah just feels christmassy due to the snow n s--- and I'm p sure a lot of people watch that movie at xmas. But yeah Die Hard is one of the most watched movies at xmas, and yeah it just has an xmas tree in it / set in xmas. But I think it's films which just get associated with xmas too right, it's not like it's just me who associates Die Hard with xmas, it's on RT's top 100 xmas movies lol https://editorial.rottentomatoes.com/guide/best-christmas-movies/ Also... Gremlins!
Feb 5, 2024 "Pretty Woman" is a classic romantic comedy that has stood the test of time! Definitely the best film that I have ever seen. It shows that love can break societal norms, and everyone deserves a shot at a fairy-tale ending. The movie mixes sweet romance with light-hearted humor. Highly recommend.
