    I like J. Cole more, but Kendrick is obviously the better artist.

    Kendrick lamar but j cole the only artist catching up on him. Imo. I relate to j cole more. Both are my favourite artist - see my display. And people know I'm active on the j cole section. But overall kendrick lamar is the better artist overall.

    Never understood the hate for my dude J. Cole... People say he's boring and s---. I don't get it. His s--- lines are cringeworthy, but I have come to like them haha.

    I personally prefer Cole. And I appreciate his productions as well.

    But I think I can say Kendrick is the better all-around artist. He just doesn't suit my personal tastes as well as Cole does.

    They're both my favs though and I don't think Cole is too far behind Kendrick. Still waiting on that collab album.

    The collab will be the absolute best proving ground, we're finally (hopefully) gonna see them going bar for bar

    Kendricks gonna be tough to beat, Coles gonna have to really come with it but I think he can do it. Cole has a lot of factors Kendrick can't touch

    The whole Kendrick has more classic albums discussion doesn't work to me. He has one classic album, GKMC. TPAB and S80 aren't classics even tho S80 is my fav Kendrick project. With that said I think Cole has the stronger discography out of the two imo.

    An interesting topic is how much the fact that Cole being a producer plays into the 'artist' aspect. Its incredible to me that he can create a whole album nearly completley on his own.

    At the same time I think Kendrick has a lot of diversity and none of his projects sound the same. Whilst TPAB has its flaws, I love and respect that Kendrick went that direction. All of his last three projects are a work of art and really put the emphasis back on crafting a whole
    body of work.

    Both of them are near that number two spot of the new generation, but I'd give it Cole at this very moment.

    Man, idk how you all can be calling TPAB trash. Like, Wesley's Theory, King Kunta, How Much A Dollar Cost, U, I, Mortal Man, and The Blacker The Berry. s----s full of great songs.

    I love both artists. I loved both of their last albums.
    But J. Cole just hasn't the diversity Kendrick has. Especially Kendrick's brilliant voice changes and rap skills/change ups. Definitely Kendrick gave me an amazing impression throughout his career. Cole is still really good though.

    But I think I'd choose FNL & TWU over Sect. 80 and OD..

    Kendrick won't even perform songs from TPAB on his tour, that's how bad that s--- flopped. Nobody wants to hear him flowing off beat and eating up half of the words on stage. Quit acting like that s--- didnt flopped, dude was supposed to go platinum within a few weeks on his next s--- after the aclaim world gave him. Everything he does in last 2 years is uninteresting and average as f--- for his standards. I gave Cole s--- for it during CW:TSS and BS era, now Kendrick is in that boat too.

    Accessability and relatability is a skill in itself though. Doesnt that contribute to Drakes success as well. That's part of the reason he's running the game.
