Jun 7, 2015 could have fooled me since you spend your time making a fake account to like your own posts and even drive to an apple store to make another account
Jun 7, 2015 Well even if I did listen to your fat a--- and only posted in there, I actually know sports and don't pretend and talk out of my a--- like you do in there.
Jun 7, 2015 I actually do know sports and love football just as much as you do, but I see we're ruining TimmyT's thread and don't wanna continue to derail it, so i'll end this here. (no reason to continue arguing with a teenager online about what I do or know about the things in life anyways)
Jun 7, 2015 Wow that is great, I can barely keep a 7:57 pace for 3 miles, my best 5k time was an 8:20 pace so I got a ways to go. My half-marathon was 9:54 I think, it was pretty rough. Good for you though, that's awesome. I saw the top-10 finishers had a 5:50 something pace, ridiculous. What races did you run? Rock'n'Roll series by any chance? Good luck with your knee. I have been having knee problems too
Jun 7, 2015 yeah, that's great man. that's a lot, i'm sure that was awesome in the summer of 2012, a buddy and i went on a vacation to vegas. i had been to vegas once before, but the first time i didn't get to do/see much because i was there for a madden tourney. but this time, i was there for vacation and had about 5 days to do whatever. we saw gale sayers in the mirage hotel on the first day. we went to a WWE event. we saw cirque du soleil.....which was AMAZING. that was my favorite part of the vacation. we saw the "O" one. it was so incredible that i now wanna see the michael jackson and beatles shows that they do. but yeah, if you ever get a chance check out cirque du soleil. we also went downtown vegas and went zip-ling....which was a first for me. i did some gambling, but not much. i'm not big on gambling. i went to vegas for the other entertainment like the shows and stuff. i might be forgetting something, but that's pretty much it.....it was a great time
Jun 7, 2015 I've been to zumanity and KA in Vegas and saw two other traveling cirq shows in Anchorage (actually saw the very last ever performance of "Dralion" a traveling show that went for like 20 years and been basically everywhere twice, crazy good show and awesome to know I'm among the last to ever see it)... I was FWB with a chick who was in zumanity when I lived in Vegas.
Jun 7, 2015 Thanks man, and that's still pretty a pretty good pace. It gets easier the more you practice, and yeah the top dudes are so legit. They're usually always in their mid 20s or 40s. I live like 50 minutes away from Manhattan and so far I've ran the Joe Kleinnerman 10K, Brooklyn Half in Prospect Park, and the last one was the Sleepy Hollow Half here in Westchester, no Rock'n'Roll series yet but I'll look and see if they host any events around here once I'm back in shape. Are you stretching for a good 5 minutes before you run? Are you icing after you finish? I know it seems a bit silly since we're not pros or anything but the knees are so important. My problem is that my right knee isn't 100% straight, so my cartilage was getting irritated and I started to lose stability, my right knee would wobble when I would land on it during runs. It was scary. I fixed it by building up quad and calf strength. Prior to my injury I didn't really go to the gym a lot, but the physical therapist told me that the stronger the muscles around your knees are, the less work they have to do when you run. It sounds stupid but next time you're on the treadmill do some backwards walking, you'll get some funny looks but its a really effective quad workout. You work different muscles when you walk backwards. I also do leg press and calf extensions. I got one of these also, they use them at PT for stretches. It's just a nylon loop, called a stretch band. It's good for stretching your IT band, I've never hand problems with it but I hear its a common injury. Exercise bike is great too as boring as it sounds. Here, I'll give you my PT routine, maybe you can use some of it. -10 mins exercise bike -7 mins eliptical -5 mins backwards walking -Light leg press (3 sets of 10) I do 5 sets of 10 at the gym -Calf extensions -Terminal knee extensions on the cable column (3 sets of 10) -Wall sits (10 sets of 10 seconds) -Calf raises -Step ups using weak knee, frontward and the sideways (20 each way) -Stretches using stretch band, Quad, hamstring, and IT band (3 sets of holding the stretch for 30 secs) -Bridging
Jun 8, 2015 I've spent a lot on things like shoes/clothes, but experiences end up being things you never regret. Nothing better than visiting family & friends in far away places or journeying to paradises across the world.
Jun 8, 2015 Things. I don't like living in apartment decked out in goodwill s--- or rocking outdated electronics that can't keep up with what I need.
Jun 8, 2015 Thanks for the tips man, I definitely could do more stretching. I usually forget to ice my knee but I wear a knee brace when I can to help support it. I know it's not as bad as your knee sounds, but I will definitely use some of your PT routine. I'd like to run another half-marathon after proper training, for this past one I did a 12-week program (after running a lot on/off for about 3 years), but missed 2 of the weeks when I hurt my knee on a 10-mile training run. Also building quad and calf strength is a great idea! I usually don't do much outside the treadmill at the gym when I know I should. I will probably start training again next week, legs are still a bit sore now. We will have to bump the running thread on this board and keep it updated
Jun 8, 2015 If I'm going to use something a lot, I'll buy a quality item (e.g. headphones) Otherwise I'll generally go do stuff
