    Death is like before you were born. There is no relief in it. Only nothingness. No matter how much pain you feel, it's not worth it to be nonexistent. Depression is treatable. It can be fixed. Go check yourself into inpatient care. Get some help.

    I don't know if there's anything you can say to someone who is at that point. It's not like you can reason someone out of suicide, their brain is physically malfunctioning.

    Just to try to be a friend to them is the best thing I can think of. Or be a friend to them and give them psychedelics. Ayahuasca or mushrooms will make them love life again. Church.

    The only piece of advice that helped me when I was depressed was that suicide doesn't stop things from getting worse, it gets rid of any chance of life getting better.
