Has anyone been out to any of the games out of interest?

Went to England vs Serbia. Great set up all day, fans all got along, but leaving the stadium was a nightmare. I was lucky enough to get on one of the first trams, and it still took me 2 hours to get back to my hotel. Had some other friends who were at the stadium for 5 hours, and had to pay 200 euros for a taxi because they missed trains, etc.

I barely did since its like a few ours (tops) from here. But mostly watching with friends or at a bar/public.

Also to respond to your post in the m&m thread: the best way to go against NL is to pressure them. Romania did it succesfully the first 20 minutes. Austria did it succesfully and even won. Our team is very very vunerable then lol.

Turkiye also did it the biggest part. Being passive against our team is not the way to do it and since England has been passive the whole tournament I'm curious for their gameplan.

I'm way more curious about France though if they will do the same as before (so, nothing) or will start putting some energy in it lol

I've tried to at least make one game a tournament since Euro 2016, but it's getting more difficult now as i've just had a little girl, and it's balancing with following my club side home and away (Chesterfield FC, just got promoted to England's 4th division). I've actually got bad memories of facing the Dutch at tournaments, went to the Nations League in Portugal and watched you beat us in extra time.

See, that's my biggest worry, as we don't press well - We have in the past, but for some reason, not this tournament. I still hold hope that after the drama against Slovakia and Swiss that we might build up the confidence to really go for it.

France is such a weird one. They've borderline been as bad as us, but no one seems worried because they've won things that many times in recent history. Really think Spain will shock them if they don't turn up on Tuesday.

Wanted to go for Ukraine - Belgium since it's like 2km from where I live but the heat on that day was just too much.

Doesn't seem that weird that people trust a team which was pretty consistent under pressure and won things. Though yeah, if anyone left can shock them, it's Spain.

Yeah, it's difficult watching games in heat. I went to see England vs Iran in Qatar, and it was like 40 degrees with no roof, I was dying.

That's what I mean, they're so proven that they can play however, and no one panics because it's France, and we all have a feeling that they'll find a way. Makes me nervous if they get through and England find a way, because I don't believe Mbappe can do a whole tournament this quiet. Sods law he'll turn in to World Cup Mbappe just in time lol.

Hesus, 40°. Already crazy for the fans but imagine actually playing in that … and AFAIK the pace in most games was about the same as usual too.

For Mbappe it could be as simple as being worried about his nose, so dude doesn't want to push himself too hard and risk more pain/injuries unless it's absolutely unavoidable. Come to think of it, it generally sounds like the French approach. Though a team like Spain sounds way more scary for England anyway IMO. With France, even when Mbappe is on form, there seems to be a solid chance to a drag the game into penalty lottery.

I think, unless we suddenly turn up, our model has got to be the Italian side that did us in the final 3 years ago. Horrible to play against, nothing too flash, not afraid to k--- a game and take you to extra time and penalties. It's not good for my heart, and not how I think we should play, but having been behind the net when Donarumma saved Saka's penalty - I'll take any win.
