    In all seriousness, did you expect to press us higher up? Because I did, I was really worried that you'd make us camp back for 90 mins, but you let us have it in your half quite a lot. Surprised how quiet Simons was, after that goal I thought he was going to rip us apart.

    First half you guys were a lot better. Second I think NL was better but sadly they didn't reward themselves. But I do think England, especially first half, played their best match so far! Good pressure. Penalty was f---ing stupid but it was at a time england was better.

    Do you expect to win sunday?

    Unlucky mate. I think on balance England were the better team, but they have stunk the tournament out and relied on moments of magic and a lot of luck. Ironically it was these two things that got them through today with the penalty decision and last minute strike.

    Not confident at all about the final, but you never know. I think the Dutch will improve over the next few years but need another manager. I don't rate Koeman at all.

    Every time England have played a team in a tournament where they weren't favourites on paper they've lost. The Germany win felt good but they were very average then. So basically Southgate has done well to dispatch of the 'lesser' teams, but bottled the harder ones. That's despite scoring in the first 5 minutes of the Euro final and playing it at Wembley.

    They were winning against Croatia in 2018 too but bottled it. The Croatia side in 2021 were much worse, but they got the job done there at least. I think they should have beaten France too in 2022 but again we weren't positive enough.

    That's my main issue with him. We've stunk the tournament out this time, haven't played a good 90 minutes yet and played bad/average teams - though somehow we're in the final again.

    Of course I'll take it all day long but I'll be shocked if we beat Spain with our recent history against sides where we're not the favourites.

    I don't disagree but does it make sense to compare him to expected results on paper instead of other England managers, who didn't just bottle it against harder teams but also blew it against the ones you'd expected to win against? And it's not like the losses were some brutal reality-checks like the Spain - Italy Euros but very close games that could go either way. I don't see him as a guy who makes a team play better than the sum of their parts or do anything inspiring but these types are generally rare and even more rare in international management - overall his records just looks pretty solid. Especially considering the insane pressure your own press puts on the team. Like s---, I didn't even watch the Denmark game just read some opinion pieces about it, and they made it sound like you got slaughtered 5-0 despite it just being a dull draw against a very decent team at a stage when you could easily afford a draw.

    And yeah, you're def. the underdog vs Spain but it wouldn't be too shocking if you would win either.

    England played great today. I think the early goal from Netherlands caused our team to snap into gear & press forward more. If that didn’t happen I think we would’ve remained in our usual tactical Southgate football mode.

    Hope to see more of today in the final!

    Yeah honestly nobody in NL expected this lmao. The team is really mid and we have no huge starts atm like Kane or Bellingham. They did very well reaching the semi final. But yesterday really could have gone 2 ways, it was for the most part a pretty fun game to watch.

    Was ready for 30 minuted more, always sucks when a goal comes in the 90th minute lol but it was not undeserverd. Good luck on sunday!
    Spain has been pretty good this tournament, the best imo, but its just one match and everything can happen!

    Both teams have been pretty bad this tournament tbh. Yesterday def was the best England has played especially first half. I think the second we were a little better, but take the whole match and it could have gone 2 ways; you need a little bit of luck too of course especially games like this. But g.d. was it a hard vicodin to swallow the last f---ing minute lmaooo. Good for you guys though, hope you have more luck this time in the finale!

    And yeah think Koeman needs to make way for someone else. He keeps holding on to Depay etc when better players are waiting.
