Jun 11, 2015 And I just discovered it now. Really hits home because one of my best friends had a very similar situation happen to her
Jun 11, 2015 Cole fam, remember when this song was leaked at first, and then he decided to change up the beat a little bit and put it on the album? Those were the days. This song is top 5 J Cole since the first time I heard it. Idek anyone who had an abortion but it makes you feel like you do. Incredible song.
Jun 11, 2015 Last year, a close friend of mine became pregnant. She was dating an a------ for a while, and eventually he knocked her up. When he realized that he had a long future of college, medical school, etc. in front of him; he completely dropped her. He switched schools, blocked her number, and just completely cut off contact. For two months, she was unsure of what she wanted to do. One night after a long conversation on the phone, she told me she was going to through with an abortion. I protested, but she told me she made up her mind. The next day, she had it done. Three weeks later, he showed up at her house to convince her to go through with an abortion. When he realized it already happened, he dissapeared permanently. To this day, she's regretted the decision and suffered with serious depression for a while. She's much better now, but she still wonders what could've happened if she went through with having it Hearing this song today really made me reminisce about all that, I called to check up on her a few hours ago Not many songs have that effect on me
Jun 13, 2015 It pissed me off seeing people make light of the voice change up when he's rapping from the woman's perspective. The execution was faultless and that type of subject matter should be applauded instead of being a chance for satire...My only complaint about this song was I heard a song similar to this before.
