Jul 19, 2024 Eminem doesn't deny he made Relapse 2 due to the reaction to Relapse. He says he started questioning the accents n being like 'why doesn't this feel like my old s---', yeah, could have done that AFTER people were like 'wtf is this s---'. Both things can be true. I absolutely believe, from his behaviour every album since then especially - he completely changed course and made Recovery purely due to fan response to Relapse 1.
Jul 19, 2024 Wtf you ain't replay Antichrist? Best track for me. Catchiest, sounds like modern day MMLP. Also Habits, Fuel. Brand New Dance. >>>
Jul 19, 2024 It would be perfect if the next album was a serious album relating to TDOSS controversial lyrics and showing the mature side of Em and the third album in this era was an album celebrating the genre with hip-hop legends.
Jul 19, 2024 I mean that’s fine but still speculation. You keep ignoring that he thought the songs for Relapse 2 would have s----d. @ 15:00 Paul: “…they think I’m holding back some Relapse 2 project, but you’re saying there’s enough songs for one.” Eminem: “Yeah, there might be, but - they’re terrible songs.” Eminem stated near the beginning that when he got out of rehab, he was really happy. That happiness probably overrode his self-critical behavior and he ended up going wild with accents. Relapse is a cool album, but Recovery was probably the bombastic comeback album he was hoping to make originally, @ 12:15 “why don’t my s--- - it don’t feel like anything right now…” (talking about Relapse)
Jul 19, 2024 I have three ideas for what could come next... A.) The Haunting Of Slim Shady (the theme of TDOSS ended a little early so I could see it not being over just yet) B.) The Birth Of ??? (the introduction of a new alter ego) C.) The Death Of Eminem & The Death Of Marshall Mathers (death comes in threes)
Jul 20, 2024 Yeah but he also left off 'Groundhog Day' for things like 'So Much Better' on MMLP2, and thinks Revival is good. I have zero faith in Eminem's judgement of his own material. He's gonna save the best for last right, we know from Refill, some of which was r2... Buffalo Bill etc. that s--- is fire. So, I just simply don't believe him. I think Relapse 2 s--- would blow our minds.
Jul 20, 2024 He also claimed if We As Americans and Love You More were on Encore it would’ve been TES level
Jul 20, 2024 Typical casual fan response. You don’t listen to music at all, do you? Just what ever is popular. Scum.
Jul 20, 2024 lol then I would have stopped listening to Em in 2013, Supersucker. That s--- don't make any sense
Jul 20, 2024 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Death_of_Slim_Shady_(Coup_de_Grâce) The Wiki should have a 'fan reception' and 'critical reception' or just a paragraph separating the two. As that critical reception section makes it seem like one of his lowest albums, yet most fans love the f--- out of it.
Jul 21, 2024 The fact that the rating is lower than for Revival is a disgrace for the critics. It brings into question their competence.
Jul 21, 2024 Man when Murdered By came out I actually remember hearing people bump Godzilla and s--- like Leaving Heaven...haven't heard any of that for Death of Slim Shady...f--- I think re-listening to it...it's kind of a hard album to bump. The Shady voice was a nice gimmick, but now I see Eminem's post about how listening in order is preferred... It's really an album meant for putting on some headphones and listening. Also he's just way more crass on this album than before. His s--- comes off as trying to be Slim Shady rather than just being him. Less lines like "cuz I'm not a boy, I'm a man b---- - man-b----" eugh, just sounds awful listening in public.
Jul 21, 2024 A critic is nothing more than someone with an opinion (and in most cases good writers). They often use big words to act smarter but in the end thats all it is... another opinion.
