Feb 11, 2025 This is why I don’t understand why people have been trying to treat Kendrick Lamar like he’s an underground rapper ever since the beef with Drake. It also randomly popped up on my Twitter feed that Humble has gone double diamond. Kendrick’s popularity has no effect on my enjoyment of him as an artist (or any artist for that matter), but it’s been really insane seeing people try to downplay his popularity and success. It’s absolute delusion and blatantly wrong.

He's just reclusive supposedly because the social media cycle of the past decade requires artists to always be in the spotlight and chronically online. Kendrick drops music and moves in a way like artists used to do from 90s and 2000s. Unfortunately that makes him underground to casuals.
