Sep 9, 2024 You hit the nail on the head.. pick your team and root for it. In every country I have a football team that I root for, to an extent. Obviously Ajax in my own country. In Spain I root for Real Madrid so if they play I obviously hope they win. But if Sevilla plays against Valencia idc who wins, I just sit back and enjoy the show. Taking this idea to rap: I'm not a fan of either Drake or Kendrick. So I just enjoyed the ride without giving a s--- who won. If it was Drake vs Jay Z it would be different. I will admit; at one point everyone wanted Drake to loose so I was happy he proved everyone wrong with Push Ups and Family Matters. Even if he got ended an hour later with Meet The Grahams and Not Like Us the next day. In the end this beef got me going back to some songs I forgot or never even heard from Kendrick and Drake. So win-win.

Sep 9, 2024 My preference kinda swithed during the beef. Based on the events. When Kendrick didn't respond to Drake and he was taunting (drop drop drop) him I found that very funny. Especially because it got Kendrick fans so mad lol. Then Kendrick dropped a so/so diss song with 616 in LA (which later became like my favorite track) and Drake bodied him again with FM. But then the most genius move happened: Kendrick gave FM no time to truly shine so people forgot it within an hour. Only to finish it off with a song that would become the biggest rap song of the year! I don't think the Heart 6 was that bad but only idiots think it helped Drake. Checking every morning for a few weeks if the other had responded, enjoying 2 artists music you don't care that much for.. it had been a long time since rap was so enjoyable to me.
Sep 9, 2024 This was probably one of my favorite aspects of the beef. Drake was begging Kendrick to drop at the beginning. Then Kendrick gave Drake what he asked for by dropping so many tracks he couldn’t keep up with it. Then in The Heart Part 6 Drake said Kendrick burnt it out. Drake’s attitude shift from the beginning of the beef to the end of the beef is hilarious
