    Thanks man :wiggins:

I was super depressed about it yesterday but I'm going to a sports medicine doctor on Wednesday so I'm really happy about that. I guess he's gonna look at the MRI and go from there but the most probable outcome is surgery if I wanna run again, not to mention my knees been burning on and off for the past 6 months so it's also getting in the way of everyday activities. I just hope they can sew it back, if the tear is too bad or in a bad spot they'll just cut the bad part out. I'll run again but I'll have problems when I'm older, but the recovery will be like 1-2 months. If they do manage to sew it back together then that'll be even better since it'll be like nothing happened for the most part, but the recovery for that is longer and takes like 4-6 months :ohno:

Either way, I'll keep you guys posted, thanks for the support :emoji_punch:

    That just sounds awful :emoji_fearful:

I can't imagine having a tear in my knee. I hope they can sew it back. You're going to recover quick, I know it! Just listen to Recovery :emoji_smirk:

You'll be fine bro, D Rose had the same surgery last year. :drose:

Depends on how active and what your everyday activities are, but you should be okay even if they choose to cut the torn piece out. Surgery/rehab sucks but as long as you go hard and stick to it you'll be back to 100%. I broke my ankle and tore ligaments in there to the point where I needed a temporary screw put in. I've rolled it a few times hooping and honestly the only reason I remember I broke it is because of the scar. After all the rehab it might actually be stronger than my right one.

    Thanks man :hovcry:

I thought about D Rose when the doc told me what it was lmao. Glad to hear you're ankle came back %100. I had originally done physically therapy so I don't mind it tbh, I'm more than willing to put in the work. I'm a pretty active dude between school and work. One of my jobs involves somewhat heavy lifting (50 pounds max) so idk if I should just find another one instead. I only put in 15 hours a week there anyways. I got my brace on and everything but I don't wanna make it any worse. I stopped going to the gym too =\

I had been going and doing bike/elliptical

Appreciate the support though. Hopefully soon I'll be able to say:

"I had to Derrick Rose the knee up before I got the re-up" :drakelaugh2:

Yeah, that's interval training. Really effective for fat loss, I was doing that with jump rope last year. If you're looking to increase speed, try hill sprints. Hurts like h---, but those results though :whew:

I honestly don't know. It might have been a gradual tear that worsened over time. I had been experiencing discomfort since January but I figured it was just from over training. It wasn't until my most recent half marathon back in March that I started to lose stability/feel a burn in my knee. The two theories I came up with are tearing it during a regular run outside. I run on the streets so sometimes I gotta cross the road but when I do it has to be really quick sometimes since there's traffic depending on what time I go at. When I would do those sudden turns I'd literally be running straight and cut to the other side of the rode as fast as possible/super hard. Like a 90 degree turn. I think I might've put too much torque on my knee during one of those turns. The other one is that I hurt it while jumping rope. I'm a pretty decent jumpers so I know a few tricks her and there, I used to jump all around the basketball court and do kicks/side steps and stuff. I do remember the sidesteps requiring knee twisting so it might have happened there. I'm leaning more toward the first possibility though.

    EDIT: s---, wrong quote.

That's the s-----y part about those injuries, it just feels like knee pain sometimes. I had a buddy of mine who tore his and played on it for about a year before finally figuring out what was wrong and getting surgery.

sprints on an empty stomach - usually first thing in the morning before I eat, 5 minute warmup and then 1 minute sprint, 30 seconds rest for 20 mins. Not exactly sure of how it works technically, but I'm seeing insane results.

Abs are finally peaking out after a good 2 or 3 years in hibernation. Like I said, i don't know much about it, but I'd definitely recommend it if you wanna burn stubborn fat.

Anyone here heard of virtualstrides? You chose a charity you want to support, pay like $30(mostly for the program's benefit but they do donate part of your money to the charity) you can chose to do 5k, 10k or half marathon. Upload your results after registering and they send you a medal. You can do it wherever and whenever you want

I have heard of that, I think it's a pretty cool concept, especially for people who don't live in a big town that has in-person runs. My wife signed up for a Harry Potter themed race like this, instead of a 10k its a 9 3/4k. And they mail you a Harry Potter themed medal. But they want you to run it on September 1 if possible, the day Harry left for Hogwarts, haha. We are nerds.

Been going to the gym at a different time lately around 7 am staying until 10 or so. It's been so incredibly packed especially upstairs where all the cardio equipment is. Once I can go back to my normal time I plan on running at least 15 - 20 minutes everyday and slowly progressing. I wanna tighten up a bit. This s--- is gonna k--- since I still find running boring but I got the right motivation this time.
