Sorry I know I'm late, it happened on my birthday and I was on a bender. THUGGER IS FREE! @ThuggerSXN

    CNN —
Young Thug was sentenced to time served as part of a sweeping case that originally included dozens of defendants.

The rapper, whose given name is Jeffery Williams, was released Thursday night after more than 900 days in custody, according to jail records. He will have to serve 15 years on probation as part of the non-negotiated plea agreement.

Williams entered a non-negotiated guilty plea deal Thursday related to several charges, including firearm possession and participation in criminal street g--- activity, while he pleaded no contest to racketeering and leading a criminal street g---. The case marked the longest in Georgia’s history.

In 2022, Williams was charged alongside more than two dozen others under Georgia’s sprawling Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act — known as RICO.

Prosecutors accused the rapper of leading a criminal street g--- that committed murder and a slew of violent crimes in Atlanta dating back a decade. Williams has denied that he was the head of a criminal enterprise.

They argued YSL — the acronym for the artist’s label, Young Stoner Life Records — also stands for Young Slime Life, an Atlanta-based criminal street g--- affiliated with the national Bloods g---.

He didn’t beat the case or win. 15 years of po or 40 years if he has one dirty piss, his po shows up to the studio when a g--- member and crew goes in and there’s illegal drugs or guns. His lawyer knows thug is a dope fiend and why he said he’d rather wait the 3 months and completely get it dismissed. He knows the plea is a trap.

I was gonna say this. Nice he is out I guess but 15 years probation isn’t exactly free. And he’s got a lot of stipulations including doing 4 community events a year to discourage kids from choosing g--- life and never going into Atlanta metro except for family matters.

Long term or just for the remainder of the trial? It sounds like his conditions were terrible and fed him crap for 2 years so I mean I get why he wanted out but I think if they went to the jury decision he would have been found not guilty of most of the charges.

I watched the trial on and off and it was a s--- show from the prosecution end. I think the jury felt that too and would have worked in his favor.

I know he can't rap about g--- s--- anymore but he was so good at it. I wonder if he's allowed to release old music that has the violence in his lyrics.

Either way THE GOAT IS HOME!

Only 3 more months. When your own lawyer isn’t happy with the outcome he knows Thugger is a drug fiend and they trapped him. Trading pills in court. Can’t mention any g--- material in rap? There goes his music career. Hopefully he invested. I followed the whole case. The snitches were awful mostly I can’t recall. Question isn’t whether he’s supposed to stay in jail, it’s if he can really do 15 years of PO. Literally 1 mistake and he serves the 40.
