Jun 20, 2015 I haven't seen all of these but from what I have. 2000. Snatch - One of my all time favourite films. It's HILARIOUS 2001. Lord Of The Rings Fellowship of the Ring - My favourite of the trilogy. Watched it so may times. 2002 Minority Report 2003 Pirates of the carribean 2004 Million Dollar Baby 2005 Batman Begins (Didn't like it but didn't see much from this year in the list) 2006 The Departed easily Casino Royale would be my next pick. 2007 I have No COuntry For Old Men but never watched it. Of the ones I've seen I'd say Juno but haven't seen a few here. 2008 Iron Man followed by The Dark Knight. I just enjoyed Iron Man so much and the comedy to it. 2009 Up or The Blind Side followed by Inglorious Basterds. Haven't seen Avatar or Star Trek, thought District 9 was overrated.
Jun 20, 2015 Dude I f---ing hate half blood prince (loved the book) smh I hated order of Phoenix even more but that 2 movie stretch had me fuming at the series The 2 part finale pulled all together well enough but the first four films are where it's at And the 3rd probably the best Side note: I'm not particularly a fan of all this agreeing I'm doing with @CharlieWork latey hahah
Jun 20, 2015 I don't know the movies very well id probly mix up plotlines with other movies in many instances
Jun 20, 2015 Hahah now I'm confused by whether or not you were trolling with your posts Regardless, yeah around the 4th movie they started really getting on my nerves as a big fan of the books Detested how they portrayed the 5th and 6th
Jun 20, 2015 That scene with Harry chasing Snape in Half Blood Prince is so powerful in the books. I was thoroughly disappointed with how they did it in the films. Also, it's okay Narsh. It must feel nice to get things right once in a while.
Jun 20, 2015 Yeah the books kept switching the game on you re: Snape's loyalty and s--- was so hard hitting when he had to go through with killing Dumbledore It was good in the movie too for sure -- it's just that the build up felt butchered The sectumsepra scene in half blood prince >>>> Had me feelin some type of way back then when Harry stopped being a p---- and drew blood smh I wouldn't have minded evil Harry for a minute lol (like what black kryptonite does to superman)
Jun 20, 2015 Playing along... 2000: Memento 2001: Bad choices from the public, but...I'll go Donnie Darko. 2002: Adaptation 2003: Lost in Translation 2004:Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind 2005: Also weak choices, but...Batman Begins 2006: Pan's Labyrinth 2007:No Country for Old Men 2008: WALL-E 2009: Inglourious Basterds
Jun 21, 2015 2000: Memento 2001: Amelie 2002: Adaptation 2003: Lost in Translation 2004: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 2005: Batman Begins 2006: Pan's Labyrinth 2007: There Will Be Blood 2008: The Dark Knight 2009: Inglorious Basterds wtf, are these seriously the top films per yer @ imdb? I'm not going to go through the effort right now, but I'd be surprised if any of the 10 films would remain at #1 if I started thinking about other, disregarded, films released the same year.
Jun 21, 2015 I'm not sure how Google does their ranking. How are people surprised that the public and critics diverge so much?
Jun 21, 2015 Wouldn't say I'm as surprised as dismayed. but like I said, I expect 10, or at least 9 (good chance for Memento), different films If I include anything.

Jun 21, 2015 Man... I have strong feelings about how they handled the film adaptations of my all time favorite book series, Harry Potter. Hold on a second, I'm about to get my nerd on here... The first two movies? I take them for what they were. They were trying to appeal to a younger generation. Also, the director, was known for family based movies, so I understood the tone. They were fairly close to the book so I appreciated it in that sense.. Third and fourth movies? Loved them. From the tone, to the adaptations from the books, they did a great job. Goblet of Fire could've been done better (book was more brutal in regards to Crouch Jr.) but I liked it. Fifth and sixth movies? AWFUL. Order of the Phoenix, minus the Dumbledore/Voldemort battle, was such a letdown. The book was so f---ing good, and it explored the connection between Harry and Voldemort, and Voldemort's ability to possess Harry, and how Voldemort was trying to get Dumbledore to k--- Harry to get to Voldemort... f---in boss. Also, the historical background of Snape/Harry's dad... There's a scene in the book that they left out, that was so powerful... Where Mrs. Weasley sees her children dead on the floor, and it ends up being a shift changer, or whatever.. And she has to keep doing the spell to get rid of it, but it keeps turning into her dead kids... I really wished they put it in the movie.. The movie was all about "Dumbledore's Army"... So stupid... Then Half Blood Prince... Worst job ever. The whole book is about Voldemort's past, which is fascinating....The book is dark and violent...Movie? Almost all about Harry and Ginny... I was ready to watch a young Voldemort go into serial killer mode, and k--- off people for his horcruxes... I liked the job they did with the first Deathly Hallows though... It was absolutely perfect, and captured the book's tone and actions... Deathly Hallows pt 1 was the best adaptation of the books, by far. The ONLY thing I wish they showed more of, was how they were carting off kids from the train to concentration camps like in Nazi Germany...I felt like the whole "Nazi" thing was implied, rather than a forefront storyline, like in the book... In the book, Voldemort is basically holocausting all "non magic" people. They also went pretty soft on the Hermione torture scene, but I can live with it. Pt 2 was OK, but it left out a ton of s--- that was awesome, and it was rushed...I was expecting some epic wizard battle s---, like in the book... All we got was Harry running through the battle... I wanted to see Dementors taking souls, werewolves eating people, spiders eating people, etc... Also wanted to see Voldemort destroy more people...That's what's fun about movies, I thought we were visually going to see Voldemort's power, translated from the books to movies... We saw it a little bit, but not full potential.. Ugh... I blame it on the constant changing of directors... The best director they had was in Prisoner of Azkaban.
