Don't remember a thread like this before. To me, this is pretty difficult (moreso than directors with more varied filmographies like Scorsese or Spielberg)... kind of like ranking Outkast albums, where the quality is so close together.

• Hard Eight (also known as Sydney)
• Boogie Nights
• Magnolia
• Punch-Drunk Love
• There Will Be Blood
• The Master
• Inherent Vice

I'd have to say:

1. There Will Be Blood
2. Boogie Nights
3. Magnolia
4. The Master
5. Punch-Drunk Love
6. Inherent Vice
7. Hard Eight

Honestly, 2-4 are very interchangeable. And I have much love for what PDL is... personally, if I was being truthful, I might say PDL and Magnolia are my actual favorites. (Shelley Duvall, Aimee Mann s/ts ftw)

Anyway, how about you? Anyone wish this pretentious f--- would stop calling himself PT?
