Jun 22, 2015 like say you are Eminem, with his exact same skills that he got right now...how hard is it for you to honestly create a great album? if i were Eminem, i will realize that i been put in a disadvantage with all my last few albums...by accepting ready made beats/hooks ... i feel even travis scott puts more effort in his music first, i would give the entire production work to someone i fully trust...someone i know who will put 110%, he tried doing it with Rick but it ended up that Eminem was basically involved with every beat..and most likely ruined lots of them...not to mention Rick just sampled bunch of beats i would give it to Luis...or if im feeling brave i would try Dre...and i will question why i never worked with Kanye, is it ego? would kanye say no ex-produce an eminem album? ok after i get someone to completely handle all productions, i will just make songs...and my producer will make sure i dont get any ready made beats with prebuilt hooks with f---ing song titles....after i get this outta the way...i feel i can shine again how would you do it?
Jun 22, 2015 definitely resto. Eminem's production with Luis Resto is always great. and tbh, I'D LOVE for Kanye to have input on Eminem's album. These two could definitely create a classic. Eminem is probably surrounded by yes men who tell him everything is good when it isn't. Nobody has the balls to tell him to go back and re-record something or fix something, except maybe Just Blaze. Dr. Dre proved himself to be a yes man by letting Encore and Relapse even happen... so I don't know if he'd be good. I mean, I'd love to hear Em on some Dre beats again but who are we kidding but if I was Eminem, I'd try and get some modern people on the album. maybe a Drake feature, dare I say a Thugger feature (meaning the two styles are incredibly different).. you know, some of the newer cats. Then I'd hook up with people from the past that helped make the music great. I'd holla at Xzibit, Sticky Fingaz... even the Outsidaz. In terms of production, I'd hook myself up with a dre beat or two, but stick to mainly producing it myself with Luis Resto. oh and I'd stay the f--- away from rubin and khalil
Jun 22, 2015 First off i would need to get a life and go outside. He has no real life experience anymore. He doesn't rap about his relationships anymore like with his kids. maybe because they are older now and they don't want that attention so they asked him to stop? Making a sequel to another album may be a good idea to give him something to rap about. Also rappers sometimes throw jabs at eminem and maybe he should start responding a little louder. A good beef would be nice, its been a while. Production also, use someone he is familiar with. I think Rick was a complete flop. Honestly having Kanye produce some of his music would probably be very refreshing and would sound great. Its gonna be hard but I believe he can do it.
Jun 22, 2015 I would write to the beat opposed to having everything pre-wrote. That would help the flow Let Resto handle most of the production Tell DJ Khalil to f--- off Not listen to Paul whatsoever Have sex Avoid writing bad lines Make my own hooks You have a great album
Jun 22, 2015 I think you mean we have absolutely no idea what "Eminem" even means outside of the small amounts of music he releases and the scripted interviews he is required to participate in.
Jun 22, 2015 I would have Kanye Executive produce the album. Bring me out of my comfort zone and do something different. Work with Dre and the Bass Brothers for a track or two. Hit up the new kids on the block. Features from Kanye, Drake, Joey Badass, Asap Rocky, Chance, Childish Gambino. Also hit up the old school. Features from Xzibit, Sticky Fingaz, Dre, and Snoop. I would f---ing release Die Hard. I would take the flow back to 2002. Give people that TES flow. I would travel around the world and have new life experiences. Party with new people I've never met. Do things I haven't done. If there are any pop singers it will only be Lana Del Rey, Sia, or Adele. I actually think Rod Stewart could do great with Em. He was awesome on Everyday. Give everyone that Elton collab they've always wanted. Maybe make it a sequel to TES. Or better yet a new title. A new classic. Finally I would get my balls back. Don't be afraid to say what you want. Never take back what I say. That Is what I would do If I were Eminem.
Jun 22, 2015 Not gonna lie, how bad a--- would it be if he went to visit the troops in Afghanistan or something and performed? A little off-topic butt since were talking about having experiences and what not.
Jun 22, 2015 I'd go on this forum and asked the users on tips to make the internet community love my music again
Jun 22, 2015 Go to my Em-vault and get some old lyrics and then to the booth...then probably fire Paul
Jun 22, 2015 If I was modern day Eminem how hard would it be a great album? It wouldn't be beside picking better songs to put on the album. Ever since his comback on every release so far he's had flashes of greatness on par (or dare I say even higher) with his prime material that's mixed in with post hiatus Marshall material (which is still good in my opinion just not as amazing as prime Em). There's not a single doubt in my mind that he still can't release a great album in 2015 (I think he did in 2013 but let's assume he didn't) if he just made better song slections. Probably a ton of post hiatus material locked away in his vault that could pass for old prime material.
Jun 22, 2015 I'd lock myself in the studio and have The Eminem Show on repeat. Then try to make something half as decent. Then i'd probably call paul to tell him he is a fat c----.
Jun 22, 2015 If I were eminem.... I would release all good unreleased tracks This way every ones happy I would name it "The unr3leased collection" 80 plus songs, no s--- songs too. After that I would retire as the true rap god. Or I would sign to strange music and have a "tech n9ne presents: eminem" eminem would sound beast on those seven produced beats. And he could learn a thing or two from the king of darkness.
