    95. Aphex Twin - Richard D. James Album (1996) [March 24th, 2025]

    I've always been very mixed on this record. When it comes to main Aphex Twin releases, it might be my least favorite. Still some great tracks on here like 4 and Fingerbib, but I find it a bit lackluster as a whole. Its has grown on me admittedly, but its far from my favorite RDJ album

    Clearly unfinished and rough in a few areas but there are still some great tracks on here. 'Life on Mars" "Bonnie and Clyde" "Breakfast at Tiffany's" all great. The Phantom of the Paradise sample on "Nights of the Roundtable" blew my f---ing mind.

    I have decided on album 100, which will be logged tomorrow. No spoilers, but it's one of my favorite albums from the 90's and one that I have replayed hundreds of times

    I love slowdive, cocteau twin, etc. but no shoegaze album comes close to this one. What do you think about m b v ?

    :emoji_star: 100. Weezer - Pinkerton (1996) [March 26th, 2025]

    Pinkerton is an album that I have listened to so much, that I've stayed away from it for a while. At only 35 minutes, the record is jampacked with Weezer's best. As much as I like Blue, this is their best album in my view. The simultaneously relatable/cringeworthy lyrics, the darker sound compared to its predecessor, its incredible. Is it a perfect album though?? Not really. I feel like adding some of the bonus tracks like Tragic Girl and Devotion into the main album could boost it up a bit, and "Why Bother?" is a tad too short for my taste. Still, this is an amazing record, and one of my all time favorites. Even though the band has dropped great records after it, (especially EWBAITE, White and OK Human) the fact that Rivers strayed away from this type of songwriting after the album's initial reaction is truly saddening.

    I also want to take this opportunity to thank everybody who's kept up with this thread so far, especially @DiggleDogg69, @Allis Mines , @Jimmy Jazz and @Minato (an Em album is going on here eventually, I promise).

    102. Contortions, Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, Mars & DNA - No New York (1978) [March 26th, 205]

    I really enjoyed the first two Swans records, so I decided to give this No Wave compilation a try. It's also produced by Eno, which is always a plus for me. It's good with lots of great energy from all the bands, although I'll say that the Contortions were my favorite out of the four.
