Is by chance there someone here know how to make an instrumental based on a song you heard? take Fort Minor new joint for instance "Welcome". I even found a video that suppose to be very helpful...well, not for me

Yeah, as long as the progression isn't too complicated, it can be pretty easy to remake an instrumental. Especially easy if it's a sample based beat. What did you have in mind?

Pretty sure somebody said that Mike Shinoda posted this instrumental a while back.

    EDIT:

    yo, you're a beat-maker, right?
Don't know much about beat-making, but, when I hear like studio snippets of beats I think are mad (for example Dre's hey young world) I always think like "f---, why doesn't someone just remake this beat? I would if I could"

Also, on a scale of 1-10 how hard would it be to get into beat-making with no equipment apart from a PC and bootlegged software?

Well, that's exactly how I got into making music, so not hard at all. It does take time to learn the ropes though, especially if you decide to focus on original compositions rather than sample based instrumentals.

Slow it down to make it easier to catch things then return to normal speed after you've got the placements figured out :useyourhead:
