According to the criminal complaint, on or about January 16, 2025, the FBI was contacted by employees of Mathers’s music studio in Ferndale, Michigan who recently discovered unreleased music created by Mathers that was available on the internet. This music was still in the process of being developed by Mathers. The employees obtained an image of a list of the music that Mathers had created, but not released, and was for sale through various internet sites. The employees recognized this as an image taken directly from a hard drive in the Ferndale studio. The FBI was able to identify and locate multiple individuals that purchased the unreleased music. These individuals identified Joseph Strange as the person who was selling the music. Strange was an employee of Marshall Mathers from approximately 2007 until 2021.Michael Myers, Alpha, Detroit24 and 3 others like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

also no I didn’t leak the songs and definitely not to spite the forum.
@DKC probably knows there’s more to it but I’ll let him decide if he wants to speak up.
The songs got leaked because someone who got kicked out of the group for selling snippets was trying to sell the 14 songs he had to another group that wanted to leak them anyways. The group voted to leak them first to prevent him from profiting, once those leaked other people who had received the remaining songs from friends started leaking them.
the “Koolo presents” thing was chosen by both the leaker and the leader of the group as a way to try and protect Joe Strange as they didn’t want him to get in trouble.
that’s all I’ll say on that, I’m sure ban incoming.
Glad you guys enjoyed the songs -

Main story here is Grimace snitched on a poor guy who just needed surgery. He does resemble a rat but the dude has always been a snake. Of course the punk tries to frame Koolo just to get a rise out the forum. Maybe he framed this guy Joe Strange also? For years he claimed to have several unreleased Eminem songs.Dr. Prep, Detroit24, Worm and 1 other person like this. -

It does seem as if Em has been reaching back more often than expected, so he's probably pissed to have lost more demo's with potential. That said, reworking these songs isn't necessarily for the best, or making better versions. This leak has reminded me that an officially released Eminem "Lost Tapes" is probably never going to happen just because there's basically nothing 'safe' for him to release.andy.cooper, Slappy and Yeez like this. -

Shady released a statement
Joseph Strange, a former engineer at Eminem’s Ferndale, Michigan studio, is facing federal charges for allegedly leaking over two dozen unreleased Eminem songs. Prosecutors say Strange sold the music — recorded between 1999 and 2018 — to a Canadian buyer for $50,000 in Bitcoin. Fans reportedly pooled funds to finance the purchase.
Eminem’s team has strongly condemned the leaks, with a spokesperson telling People magazine: “We will continue to take any and all steps necessary to protect Eminem’s art and will stop at nothing to do so”. They further emphasized the impact of the breach, stating, “The significant damage caused by a trusted employee to Eminem’s artistic legacy and creative integrity cannot be overstated”.
Investigators traced the leak back to Strange after finding an identical file on a password-protected hard drive at the studio. Now facing charges of criminal copyright infringement and interstate transportation of stolen goods, Strange could receive up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
Strange’s defender, Wade Fink, calls the charges “untested” and notes that Strange, a married father of two, had a long-standing career in the music industry before his firing in 2021. He does not specify what happened in 2021, leading to his client being fired from the studio.Michael Myers, JMG and Allis Mines like this. -

Or maybe you're just trying to protect Grim? You said it was all you trying to frame Koolo but then said "we had to" .. I hope you have a good lawyer. You also need to publicly apologize to Koolo and the rest of the forum. The entire staff had visits by the FBI over this s--- fyi.. so you got a lot of nerve coming in here bragging about it.Dr. Prep, wobblywobbly and Allis Mines like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) - Apr 30, 2025
