It’s taking me a lot to post this, just because I see my music as an extension of my personal life to a degree and I try to keep my personal life off the forum, but I’ve warmed up to the forum a lot in the last year and want to share my music with y’all

Released this about 3 years ago, when I was 16. I go back and forth about how I feel about this song, but I have come to consistently like it. It was meant to be the first single to my first mixtape, and it still is despite releasing in 2022, so it has a special place in my heart. Some corny lines here and there, but I was 16 lmfao it happens

My first song to ever hit DSPs, still super proud of this track! One of my favorite verses I have ever done with a good friend of mine. Absolutely gorgeous singing from my dawg LUMi, I got some more in the vault with her that I'm super excited to put out!

Started college in 2023 and met my friend Ryon, we discovered some free use studios on campus on Halloween night and recorded this. Bullshitting around and having a great time

Another fun night on campus when we decided to record, and we picked to rap over BACKR00MS by Carti and Travis. Made this b-----r early last year and finished it up late last year, dropped it New Year’s Day this year on the 1 year anniversary of BACKR00MS dropping.

It’s hard to give some sort of grand assessment from 3 songs recorded during different time periods so I’ll have to wait to hear your mixtape. What I will say is you do have potential. I do like the confidence you have in your voice and flow. DOCTOR STRANGE did have some corny lines here and there and the flow needed tightened up when you started rapping faster but it wasn’t terrible and like you said that’s an older song. It sounds like in these newer songs your flow has tightened and improved a bit.

You and your friend seem to bounce off of each other pretty well so that’s good. One thing I will say is that in these songs I couldn’t help but notice you talked about sex and girls a lot lol. I assume your mixtape will have more varied subject matter. I’ll be honest I’m not the biggest fan of these songs but they are okay for what they’re trying to be. I do see something in you though. I think if you practice a lot more, make sure your flow is on point with the beat, and have a bit more varied subject matter you could be good. You’re not bad at all though, I’ve heard much worse. If I had to rate these songs I’d probably rate them a 5 or 6/10.

I like the top 5 line, and Popeyes rhymes! Reminds me of my favorite white guy behind tobey maguire

only critic is the reverb is too much on the track, but that’s more of a mixing thing

Good idea, I think people will really like this one. I will be paying attention to yours and LUMi’s output! I love to support up and coming artists when I can. Someone here took my advice and made a good album that I really liked so it’s great to see that happen and see people realize their true potential.

Yes, I agree. There was a point in time where I almost took this song down and scrapped it from my tape completely, but I’ve come to appreciate it for what it is. Hiding all your old music isn’t that great of a look imo (unless it’s genuinely a---, which I don’t think DS is)

I also agree with this as I’ve noticed this trend myself haha, I hop on songs with my friends and just tend to do that? Idk, but it’s something I’ve been trying to be more mindful of in recent writings and it shouldn’t be too big of a theme in my mixtape (hopefully)

thanks for the honest review Roo! Considering this is just 1 old song and 2 loosie “for fun” tracks, I get that it’s hard to really judge but you still managed to give me some solid feedback
